Happy New Year!

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and happy holidays and the start of the Roaring 20's, is going well. Sorry I have been a little quiet here but have been enjoying family time, dog walks and relaxing. Here are a few photos taken the past few days. Bluebell's first Christmas with us and wondering what present is hers.

Saying goodbye to this decade, in my favourite place, at home with my favourite little puppy Bluebell.

Just want to take this moment to say a big thank you to all my friends, for the love and support last year. Here's to a new decade and wishing you a joyous year, filled with happiness and adventure.
Wishing you a happy New Year, I hope 2020 brings you everything you dream of and more.

Three more sleeps!

So much is happening right now... how are you holding up during the holiday rush?

Summer is here in NZ and yesterday when I was doing the last of my Christmas shopping, driving away from the shopping center the temp. on the car had hit the giddy high of 30!
So you can imagine there were a lot of tired and stressed people walking around the streets of Auckland, all trying to buy the last of the gifts, for their loved ones. I always say that I will try and shop early but never seem to get around to it.

My thoughts are with those that have been effected by the snow, especially those that have had their travel plans disrupted. I really hope that the weather will improve so they can get home to their loved ones this Christmas.

I have finished writing the Christmas cards and now want to wish you much ~
As we come to the end of the year, I'm reminded there is so much to be grateful for.
We can visit wonderfully sweet places and friends at the click of a button.
Each day I can turn on my computer, sometimes while still in my pyjamas and know that there is something special waiting for me. Thank you dear friends for all the inspiration and love you have to share.

I hope that you are enjoying the Christmas week

Rebecca's birthday party

Rebecca, from A Re-purposed Life, is celebrating her birthday today! please go and visit her
at rebeccaforvintageliving.blogspot.com and wish her a happy birthday.
Isn't she the sweetest little girl and now a very beautiful and such a talented Lady.

She has asked us to show a gift that we made for someone ~ My gift a Teddy bear, was to my dear Mother who also shares the same birthday as Rebecca on the 18th of December.

Thank you for inviting us to your special party and I wish you a happy birthday and a great year ahead.

All through the house...

Remember counting down the days until Christmas day! It is such a magical time of the year.

As I was reading my Victoria magazine this morning I fell in love with these two beautiful rooms, at Christmas time. The heartwarming photographs are full of so much beauty, serenity and nostalgia.
Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home.
~ Charles Dickens

As the year is waning, and another has miraculously zoomed by, the thing I love best about this time of the year is keeping in touch with our family and special friends.

Yesterday we drove 3 hours to celebrate my dear Mothers birthday and it was such a lovely time, being with all my family for the day.
I am sorry I have not been around much but I do look forward to coming to visit all of you.
Today the weather has been so wet and it will be good to do all the inside jobs that need doing around the house.

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend and best wishes for the upcoming Festive season.

Christmas countdown

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and everyone seems to be so busy.
I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and now I wish you a fun filled week.

We had a busy weekend and had dinner out on Friday evening, at an Italian Restaurant with 8 friends.
The hostess had a lovely little Christmas tree on the table, which she had decorated with ornaments and at the end of the evening we were each given the chance to take two ornaments home and a box of hand made chocolates. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do.
On Sunday we had pizza with another group of friends, one of whom was celebrating his birthday ... Happy Birthday Chris.

This is a lovely and easy way to decorate ~ wrap a white candle with old sheet music and then I tied the ends with red string.

The other day in my mail box was a lovely gift waiting for me from Saskia, all the way from The Netherlands. Go and visit her and her beautiful blog ~ Join my Joy

Thank you very much dear friend.

I hope that you are not finding the Christmas rush too stressful and much luck with getting through your list of things to do. I still have so much to do and the days seem to be rushing closer to Christmas day.
Hugs
