It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and everyone seems to be so busy.
I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and now I wish you a fun filled week.
We had a busy weekend and had dinner out on Friday evening, at an Italian Restaurant with 8 friends.
The hostess had a lovely little Christmas tree on the table, which she had decorated with ornaments and at the end of the evening we were each given the chance to take two ornaments home and a box of hand made chocolates. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do.
On Sunday we had pizza with another group of friends, one of whom was celebrating his birthday ... Happy Birthday Chris.
This is a lovely and easy way to decorate ~ wrap a white candle with old sheet music and then I tied the ends with red string.
The other day in my mail box was a lovely gift waiting for me from Saskia, all the way from The Netherlands. Go and visit her and her beautiful blog ~ Join my Joy

Thank you very much dear friend.
I hope that you are not finding the Christmas rush too stressful and much luck with getting through your list of things to do. I still have so much to do and the days seem to be rushing closer to Christmas day.
Hugs
Carolyn

I particularly love Advent - a time of waiting, reflection and expectation!
We need this time amidst the busy-ness, the to-ing and fro-ing, to reflect on the meaning of it all.

Dear Carolyn, what beautiful things for decoration you have!!!!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,

Sometimes I look at certain decorations and then.... just leave them in the box. Time to purge a bit methinks....
ReplyDeleteOur tastes change over the years I guess ... nowadays I like to set out some of my bears in the midst of some greenery... or on a little wooden sled...and I use my Santa doll that I made several years ago to pull the sleigh..... how does it go? Less is more..... ? more effective.. or at least just as effective for sure.... and I love to see some of my things set out that are usually hiding away in a rather dark cabinet all the rest of the year.
Everybody who shows up loves to see the bears and dolls...
awwww the black teddy is waiting to be hugged!
ReplyDeletemerry x'mas to you too!

Carolyn honey just love your black bear. I am like Deanna one of these days when I back to work I am buying one of your lovely bears.
ReplyDeleteI feel just like you do about how fast these past two months have flown by. It was just yesterday that I fixed that big Turkey for Thanksgiving and now its time for Christmas.
For someone that loves Christmas as much as I do I can not figure out why I don't start early. It would be so much fun to have everything done ahead time and just sit back and enjoy the season and the reason.
Tonight I am having my four brothers and their wifes for Christmas dinner early because I am planning on going to see my grandbabies Christmas day. lol
Honey I pray you catch up and have a very Merry Christmas. Of course me writing you a letter instead of a comment slows you down. lol
Love ya
Maggie
