Hello Autumn

Good morning dear friends, ... hope all is well with you all
The change of seasons bring for us crisp mornings, that you need to put on a jersey, beautiful warm blue sunny days and cooler evenings.  This is one of my favourite Seasons.

A pretty bouquet of yellow roses was a lovely surprise from my dear husband. Brightens up the room and I like that they symbolise joy and happiness.

Will share a few photos from my week, out on my walks and just enjoying nature and all the beauty that is around us.
The two Kereru  (wood pigeon) looked like they were having a friendly chatter to each other, perched on the telephone lines
A Monarch butterfly flying about and getting the nectar from plants and enjoying the sunny day
Waiting to pick up my husband from the ferry, I saw  these white ducks, swimming towards the Mallard ducks

It's that time of the year again, when the clocks turn back an hour and will be lighter when we get up in the morning.
It has been so dark the last few mornings when I took Bluebell out and almost seemed like the middle of the night.

Bluebell had her first outing to Oneroa beach last weekend.
Was a little overwhelming for her, seeing so many other dogs taking their constitutions.  The next day, she was a lot more confident and got to meet so many new doggie friends. One kind lady walking her two French Bulldogs, stopped to talk and gave us some venison treats to give her. I am sure she will be happy to do this walk again.

Happy Weekend!

  1. Autumn is lovely in your area, Carolyn. And those yellow roses are gorgeous. What a thoughtful gift from your husband. It's so hard to get a picture of the butterfly cause they fly away quickly, but this one is pretty. That's a cool picture of the white ducks and the mallard ducks swimming toward each other. Hello Bluebell, aren't you precious.

Wishing you happy April days, Carolyn.

    love, ~Sheri

  2. Dearest Carolyn,
Your yellow roses are a dream!
Our days are slowly warming up and soon enough it will be too hot...
Life is using such an awful fast pace; hard to keep up with it all.
Wonder what Bluebell and other puppies might be thinking when turned kind of free into the big and vast unknown world?!
They learn fast though and memorize things.

  3. Lovely with yellow roses and so cute she is, Bluebell :)
    Love from Titti

  4. What a romantic atmosphere! Love your pictures and your yellow roses

  9. Deaest Carolyn,
Autumn there - Spring here .... time is running so quick! Thank you for those lovely pictures! I will send an email soon, my dearest friend! The last week was so full of things to do, that I did not find much time to sit on the computer :O(

  10. Bluebell is darling! You are inching toward Autumn and we're inching toward Spring. I need this time to get refreshed after a very long Winter here in Kansas. Lovely post and I always enjoy visiting your blog.

  11. Isn't Autumn a wonderful season.
I did enjoy seeing your photographs.

    All the best Jan

  12. Wow, this looks amazing!!
    Happy Easter ♥

  13. I'm enjoying the changing season even though we're going the other way and have a long, hot summer to look forward to.

  14. Dearest Carolyn,
I hope you arrived well in May! We had a partly almost summery April, especially around the Easter days. Too warm and too dry but also nice in a way... But now it has become cooler and rainy, almost as if autumn time was in Europe. We spent a few days in Munich at a blogger meeting - on the trip home it was snowing. But I think it will get warmer here soon. I hope you enjoy the autumn on your side of the globe as I enjoy the spring on my half of the globe.
Hugs to you and your family and to sweet Bluebell!

Thank you so much for visiting Draffin Bears.
It always makes me happy to read your comments
and I look forward to visiting you.
