Out and about

A day out in the City... after having a delicious lunch outdoors, {I chose the fish, chips and a salad} with my dear family.  I wandered off and the first thing that caught my eye was this enormous pink shoe  in the square ... it made me smile and it is nice to see something to brighten up our day.  'Smitten' was the name of the colour of the Resene's paint and it was therefor advertising
'Fashion in the BIG little City', which is taking place, from the 28th February until the 10th March.

When it comes to shopping, I love it when all the summer sales are on and even better when you can find something you like and at a bargain price.  I wasn't looking for anything in particular. Just hoping to find something to catch my eye.
I was happy to buy this trench-coat and the lovely Paris inspired tee-shirt and will be able to dream of my next holiday away.

How did it get to be the first day of March?
The hours, days and weeks are flying by!

This weekend, I hope you take time for you.
Enjoy your weekend, my lovely friends.

Harrods Department store

Harrods located in the fashionable Knightsbridge area, is the most famous and luxurious department store in London. They were having their twice yearly sale so it was good to go and take a look.
You are able to buy anything here from top designer brands, with upmarket prices, eat at many of the restaurants and buy fruit, vegetables and food at the amazing food hall.

View some of the most expensive and beautiful jewellery and watches from all around the world.
These displays had signs, that no photographs were allowed to be taken.
One hand made watch had the price tag of 275-000 pound, about the cost of a small apartment.

There is an Egyptian themed room
Since the death of Diana Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed, Mohamed Fayed commissioned a memorial shrine to the couple.
Had to take a coffee break and rest our feet.
I am wishing everybody a beautiful weekend ~ hard to believe that February is almost over. Many thanks for visiting me and the comments you leave and to all the new followers to my blog.

Out and about in Chelsea

Treat yourself to some pretty flowers.
What's behind the green door?

Maybe buy a cupcake, from Peggy Porschen's pink cake shop

As you can see by the photographs, there was a lack of blue in the sky, but we had a fun walk, looking at the shops and buildings about. Sorry about the glare from the shop windows.

Have a beautiful week

We have a long weekend!

Can you remember the carefree days of having fun, flying a kite?
When I was a small girl, my family and I would often take our kites over to the park and spend hours watching it swirl, play and dip, around in the sky.

While reading some inspirational thoughts I came across this memorable little piece.

"I did" said the wind
"I did" said the paper
"I did" said the string
"I did" said the boy.

In reality they all flew the kite. If the wind had stopped blowing or the paper had torn or if the string had got caught in a tree, or the boy had fallen over, then the kite would come crashing down to the ground. That is what life is all about, all working together and doing what we can to
help one another.
I did manage to buy a few things to take home in my suitcase ~ David Jones was having a sale and I picked up this Vivienne Westwood cardi and a pair of shoes.
It is always nice to pick up some duty free products at the airport.

We have a three day weekend, Queen's Birthday { smile} ~ one of the pleasures of life!
Also it is my DH's birthday, on the 6th of June, so a little celebration and some relaxing is what I am going to be doing this weekend.

Thank you for all who read my blog and the lovely comments you leave for me, and for the new followers ~ I appreciate you all.
Just want to wish you all a happy weekend.

Little window therapy!

Do you ever feel like a little window therapy?

The other day, my daugher and I were in the City for lunch and some shopping.
Buying the things I needed and those that I didn't.
We went to my favourite shop "Passion for Paper" and I bought this lovely set of stamps and then some beautiful stationery ~ a little gold embossed bee and honeycomb print on the envelopes. The little bar of Pomegranate soap, from Italy smelled so beautiful and reminded me of soap my dear old Grandmother used to have in her bathroom, so I had to buy the soap. I had not taken the price tag off and my husband was amazed at the cost.
Anyway that will be the end of my shopping sprees, for a while.

I hope that you have an enjoyable weekend ~ it has turned really cold and wet here today.

Hugs
