A few favourites for February

Hello dear friends,
hope you are having a lovely week

It will probably be the last of the Souvenir de la Malmaison Roses for the season, so I filled a pretty little teacup, to enjoy their beauty and fragrance indoors

Can't get enough of these delicious cherries and they are one of my favourite summertime treats

Little Bluebell is taking up much of my time and brings us great joy. She lives to eat, run around the yard very fast and then sleeps a lot. That is her life at the moment and I am looking forward to the day when she is old enough to come on walks with me. On Friday, she had her first trip to the vet, for a vaccination and to be microchipped so that was an exciting day for her.  In a few weeks we will be going to a puppy socialising group, so hope she will be a good pup.

Wonder what is under the dishwasher?

Loving these hot summery days but at this time every year, we so badly need rain. There is a 14 day waiting list, so on the 27th we will welcome the tanker that comes to our house with a load of water.
So now we have to be really diligent with conserving water, so we don't run out.

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone!
hugs
Carolyn

  2. Carolyn, your Roses always amaze me - I don't see that type of Rose around here. They are so full with a soft Pink color. I hope your dog does well socializing with the others. You know, cherries are my favorite fruit of all! Sending you some rain - we have lots of it this Winter, but conserving water is always a good thing to do.

Your February favorites brought me joy today.

    love, ~Sheri

  6. Hello dearest Carolyn!
Little Bluebell looks so big - she's not a baby anymore! :-) She is a pretty nice girl, no wonder you enjoy Bluebell! Definitely she will be a good pup in the puppy socializing group!
Oh, I like cherries, and roses too - I'm really looking forward to the time when fruit and lush blossoms will be here again! But even in New Zealand there will be good autumn weather for a while. Nevertheless, I wish you that you get more water soon!
My hope is growing that we will visit New Zealand - not yet immediately, but we are currently thinking about a trip to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong in 2021 ... let's see if anything comes of it ... if so, I would be very happy to meet you then!
Hugs and best wishes to you,
    Traude

  8. Dearest Carolyn,
A very lovely post filled with sweetness in many forms!
Fragrant heirloom roses are a joy and so are cherries. Too bad we can only enjoy them once a year. We usually found some around Christmas time at Costco our wholesale store, from Chile but not this year.
As for you Little Bluebell, she no doubt is a cute and loyal fur baby! It is so much joy to see them grow up and bond with their human parents.
Wishing you a lovely winding down of summer.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
