Rodney Smith photo.
Well it has been one of these weekends.
I woke up this morning with a yucky sore throat, so I made a hot lemon and honey drink, which seems to have helped.
My dear old Dad had to go into hospital on Thursday with ongoing problems related to prostate cancer and is coming out tomorrow.
I will go down on Monday and stay with them for a few days.
Also my computer went on the blink, kept turning itself off and then the final straw was yesterday it had lots of wavy, blurry lines, that kept appearing. I am using our daughters computer, as she also has a laptop, until mine comes back from the repair shop.
I have also been adjusting a black Merino wool overcoat that did belong to my Husband.
He had bought a new coat, so for our Son to be able to wear it needed some alterations.
There was so much work in doing this as it was all lined and I needed to take all the seams undone and make it smaller. He now seems happy with his new/old coat.
I look forward to seeing you when I return.
I wonder what you are doing for your weekend?
Have a happy weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
Wow! what a weekend! I hope your Dad is ok! And that you get a bit of rest!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
Love the photo! I hope you're feeling better soon. I hate sore throats!!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and your dad. My dad signs his emails DOD. I said, dad, you keep typing it wrong and he said, no, it stands for dear old dad, LOL
I hear ya! My PC keeps making a noise. I think it's the fan. I'm going to have to get someone in to fix it b/c if I take it somewhere we lose the internet. It's only 1-1/2 old!!!
Miss you while you're gone, but I know your dad is looking forward to your time with him.
Hugs,
Marsha
P.S. I'm working this weekend. Got a job that's due Monday :)
Thank you so much Lisa. I guess I am worrying about my Father, which may have caused the immune system to go down a little.
ReplyDeleteLove that your Dad signs his emails DOD, so sweet.
My Father is in his 80's and only learnt to use the computer for emails a few years back. He loves it and we write alternate days.
We use Mac and my computer is not very old so I do not know what is wrong with it.
Good luck with your work and getting it completed by Monday.
Hugs
Carolyn
I hope your Dad is feeling better now. I know what your going through. My DAd had the same cancer, ugh! Hang in there!

Hello, I came here via Tiny Bear, love that photo, people used to dress with such flair back then!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! And your Dad too, my Dad is 85 and I am always concerned for him.

Bless your heart!!! My goodness, you and I need to get together - as it sounds like my life right now.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder if computers do not make my life more stressful, as it seems I am always having problems with one. It puts me in a bad mood when I have problems with mine, since I sell on Etsy, I need it to keep on keeping on.
I feel for you and your family. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
Hopefully, the sore throat was just a passing annoyance...and has left you by now.
Take care! Thanks for visiting today.
xoxo
Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling all better.
Very sorry about your father's illness. May he get well.
You are a talented Lady to alter this coat. Sounds difficult.
This week-end, I celebrated a brother/sil's 25th Wedding Anniversary. Glad to see the day. It was a joyeous time.
Hope to rest on Sunday.
Good to hear you and I truly thank you for the prayers,
D
