Ways to be happy

Do more of what makes you happy!

Plant some pretty flowers

Watch a sunset at the end of the day, the spectacular and vibrant colour palette, painted across Mother natures canvas.
Beauty at the end of the day, while on holiday at Bora Bora

Sit down in a comfy chair and read a good book

I am finally feeling like myself again, having a sore throat was no fun. Thank you for your kind emails ... you made me feel better.
Also kind of you to send  birthday wishes, to my husband.

Sundown, over Bora Bora

Every night at the same time, 6.05pm we would sit out on our deck and watch the most spectacular sunset.  We did not miss television at all and everything was so peaceful and calm and we felt so relaxed, watching the sun going down. The vibrant colours and the cloud formation, was truly magical.

I could relate to the quote by Gina De Gorna ~

I love to be here at the beach to watch the sunset ~ the greatest performance of Nature. Like in a theater, but it's free.

A sunset cruise would go out every evening
Can you see the bird soaring around?
Was a romantic way of saying goodbye to the day and the lovely thing about this, ...there was one every day.

There is nothing is more musical than a sunset. He who feels what he sees will find no more beautiful example of development in all that book which, alas musicians read but too little - the book of Nature.
~ Claude Debussy

Hope that you are enjoying the weekend

Snorkeling in the underwater world.

Pictures do not really show how beautiful this place was,  and just want to share a few more snaps of our holiday.
One of the highlights of our trip was the wonderful underwater world, home to a teaming fauna of fish of all shapes and bright colours, swimming around the coloured coral seabed.
Every day we would put on our snorkels and flippers and jump off the little deck of the villa.

The water was crystal clear and was great swimming around with the tropical fish.   They always seemed to be friendly and hungry and we would buy a bag of fish food and they would feed from your fingers.
On the last night we were sitting on the deck relaxing with a G&T, when my husband looked down and saw a shark slithering through the water. Apparently they are reef sharks and according to the book  that I read about the place in our villa, they are said to be harmless to humans.
I was so glad that I had not seen one when we were swimming around, think I would have had heart failure.
Breakfast was a favourite meal, for me with the fresh pineapple, melon, guava, pawpaw and all the delicious tropical fruit that was abundant.
I think this is a pawpaw hanging from the tree - can anyone tell me please, if I am correct.

We sat poolside with this most delectable cocktail
Thank you for stopping by today~
I have to say merci, to all who took the time to leave me a comment, with the first French lesson ~ it went really well.
Hope you are having a wonderful week

Dreamy white beach

Do not forget your sunhat and sunscreen here, as beneath the sunny skies the sun was very hot.
We only had one day that it  rained and that was such a downpour. We were taking the boat over to the mainland of Vaitape, when the heavens opened and  we were all handed a little box, in it was a plastic poncho, which we were very grateful for this to keep our clothes dry.
The tropical rain storm did not last long  and the bright sun came out again and everything was a little steamy for a while.

The hibiscus and bougainvillea flowers made a pretty show around the gardens of the resort

The infinity pool was lovely
I want to thank everyone for visiting and the lovely comments you leave, it makes me happy.
Also many thanks to new followers.
I wish you all a wonderful rest of the week

Bora Bora

After a short plane trip from Tahiti, we arrived at the magnificent tropical paradise, and walked across the tarmac to the Aeroport building. We were grateful to get in out of the heat and  for the fans overhead that cooled us down a little.
We were meet by our host, with another heavenly flower lei and a cold bottle of water and then took a short boat trip to the Island we would be calling home for the next week.
Beautiful music, and a warm welcome from the staff

Bora Bora is the mythical jewel of the South Seas and from the moment you step off the boat, you can't get over the breathtaking enchantment of the place.
You'll marvel at the turquoise of the crystal clear water, pure white sandy beach and blue skies.
Everyone was oohing and aweeing at the beauty everywhere. The colours have not been enhanced here, it really was just how it looked.
No need for too many words here and I will just let the pictures do the work for me
White sandy beaches with swaying palm trees
Our accommodation, was an overwater villa
Can't wait to go swimming and snorkeling
I wish you all a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by today
