I love to be beside the seaside



We took a walk along Oneroa beach on Sunday morning and here are a few snaps of how beautiful everything looked.
I always think, a constitutional,  is one of the best ways to start the day.
The sun was shinning brightly and the sky was a pretty blue with white fluffy clouds and the sea sparkled like diamonds.


Going by the numbers of boats in the bay, this was one of the busiest weekends for a long time.
At night looking  out our window, there are hundreds of lights from the boats and it is a magnificent sight, looks like a whole new town out there.
 
 This was the cutest little Scottie dog walking along, not at all in a hurry and looked like the day was too hot from him with his black coat. He was having trouble keeping up with his owner, who was  way ahead.

    My oh my, what a beautiful sight this is.. Look at all the boats in the bay... You are so right, just magnificent!

    I always feel nervous when I see a dog so far behind.. He does look like he knows exactly where he is going.. Cute little Scottie.

    I love it when the sea sparkles like diamonds .... you've captured it beautifully Carolyn. That poor little Scottie dog must be so hot being that close to the hot bitumen .... his Mama should pick him up and carry him.

    I have always loved the sea and lived at the seaside when I lived in the UK. Here,I'm in land locked Ontario,and miss it terribly.

    I wish! It is cold here.....February is my favourite month in Auckland and I would love to be on the ferry heading out to your beautiful island :-)

    I bet it has change a lot since I was last there...20 years ago!

    I love being by the ocean too.... sometimes think how nice it would be to live somewhere within walking distance....but, then..... maybe it's just as nice to go there only on holiday... then it makes it really special.

    Although,...... I think I could cheerfully move to Nazare beach in Portugal.....sigh....

    You are blessed to be so near to the sea so that you can take a walk there. The bay looks sparklingly beautiful in the daytime and must be just as lovely at night.
    I guess that all the boats have a mooring in the bay. What a lovely way to spend time on the water! Poor little Scottie dog! He must have been hot and tired.
    I like the name of the beach path - tramping tracks!

    what a beautiful sight from your windows ! I was born in the North and the Winter was so long , snow was everywhere , I've always dreamed to open my windows and see the sea .
    I don't know so much about New Zeeland : just kiwi, Maori and rugby team....but you give me the chance to learn some more .

    Can't get enough of the sea. Your photographs are gorgeous, and that Scottie is adorable indeed.
    Thank you for the anniversary wishes. The concert was spectacular indeed. We spoke of all the times we actually wanted to see Pavarotti and never got around to it. How wonderful that you were able to attend one of his concerts.
