Life is like a bowl of cherries


We are enjoying the wonderful summer fruits that are in abundance in the markets.
The delicious ripe cherries, are my favourite and I can't seem to get enough of them.
Every morning when I set out for my early morning walk - I take a handful of these and eat my way around the block.

Life is just a bowl of cherries
Don't make it serious
Life's too mysterious
You work, you save, you worry so
But you can't take your dough
when you go, go, go.
So keep repeating it's the berries
The strongest oak must fall
The sweet things in life
To you were just loaned.
So how can you lose what 
you've never owned?

    I've not heard the song before Carolyn but it certainly fits the photo. I don't know about your area but this Summer cherries here are very inexpensive plus wonderfully sweet..... Just perfect for cherry clafoutis.

    ohhhh for a cherry! it's a ways off yet for us...a loooong ways really.... til June......

    But... maybe tomorrow I'll make something with cranberries ...a close second as far as I'm concerned...hahahha
