Bonjour mes amis,
So glad that you have come to visit me and I will now take you along and share a few photos of what I loved about this gorgeous City.
Wandering around Paris in the winter time was very beautiful.
Even though it was cold, the beauty of the City in its winter colours was magnificent. You can just make out the Eiffel Tower in the mist.
We stayed in a small apartment above La Cine13 Theatre - that is our little deck that you can see.
It was wonderful apart from one thing, the bed was very hard and we actually got the cushions from off the sofa to make it more comfy.
Everywhere you looked there were the most amazing buildings and architecture
Notre Dame
|
One evening we dined at the historic Restaurant, Le Moulin de la Gallette.
Now lets go shopping for flowers, I loved all the pretty fleurs
or maybe it is shoes you are after |
We are now up at Montmartre wandering around all the wonderful shopping places ...you may even purchase a poster to take home with you.
Montmartre is the home to may Artists. One day we walked past the apartment where Vincent Van Gogh had lived, with his brother.
A quick stop for a cup of coffee and cake will be nice.
How is that for parking!... could really not get much closer. One day we even saw someone stop over the pedestrian crossing.
Now lets close the gates as we leave, until next time
Many thanks Anita, for organizing the party.

Au revoir et bon week-end

ReplyDeleteOh, these pictures are lovely. I haven't seen much of the shopping yet, so I'm glad you shared these pictures. Those pink shoes are darling. The girls have been to Paris, but I haven't myself yet - but one can dream, can't they? Loved your post, and I treasure your friendship.

Dear Carolyn, I've enjoyed seeing Paris through your lens! Thank you for sharing memories of your trip with us. What a brilliant idea of Anita to connect us all through this wonderful city !
ReplyDeleteHello, Carolyn! I loved every minute of this tour – I've never been in the winter and I can see that Paris is just as beautiful and charming as at other times of year. Staying in that apartment must have been a continual thrill! (I know what you mean about the beds – I find generally in Europe they are much too hard for me.)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely weekend. It's great to visit here again. – g
