Happy Weekend

My friend Dorthe from denlillelade.blogspot.com     shared this with me ~

Add the last two digits of your birth year to the age you will turn on your birthday this year, 2011.
It tells you the answer will be 111.
Try this with your own details ... It really does work!
Now to leave you with one more of my camellias, they really are the prettiest of flowers.
This one is called Nuccio's Gem and I also have Swan Lake.
The shrub has attractive glossy green foliage and they put on a fabulous flower display in late winter and early spring.
Camellias have a good shade tolerance.

Hope that you are enjoying your weekend - why do they go so quickly?

Hugs
Carolyn

  5. Oh I wish I could grow camellias here Carolyn. It is such a beautiful bloom...a little daintier than a rose, and that is what I love about it.
Your pretties in this post were so lovely to see. I have been reading here tonight some of the posts that I had missed, and I see that your Spring is so pretty there.
I also loved the post with the painting of 'The Reader' That is one of my favorites. I have a copy of it in the studio. Oh to be reading in such a lovely dress instead of my yoga pants or pjs :-) I loved the little verse by Dr. Seuss, who by the way is my favorite author!
    hugs from here...

  7. Hi Carolyn,
I ask the same thing~ why do the go so quickly? LOL
What an interesting number detail from your friend. I will have to try this too.

Your Camellia in white is truly gorgeous. This bloom you share is so inspiring. I have a red bush and it also blooms like you describe. I love the leaves that stay glossy green all year long.

Thank you for stopping by my friend. Your visits are a blessing to me always.

Love to you and have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
    XO Celestina Marie

  9. Dearest Carolyn,

We got the Nuccio's Gem too! And I got a Cameo brooch/pendant as well. The riddle works really; amazing 111...
Enjoy your 'short' weekend. They come-and-go-come-and-go with barely anthing in-between them.
    Life is short.

    Love to you,

  20. I saw a vintage German Teddy Bear for sale on a TV show the other day... and thought about you! It had belonged to someone's great great grandmother... imagine who will be so happy to own your bears even in the future!

  30. Looks like a paper flower! Yes, it is beautiful. <3

I am not sure if I can choose a favorite flower of my own! There are so many which I fall immediately in love with! I am not so sure I can ever choose a single flower I love more than all the rest! I will let you know if I ever do! : ) But perhaps it is the blue rose... yes I love blue roses...
