There is a daily round of beauty, for those that make time to look for it.
Last evening standing out on our deck, looking all around, the sight was magnificent.
If you click on the photo, you can see a few yachts out on the water.
With the colours of the glorious sunset out west and then the beautiful full moon rising was one to behold.
Every 18 years or so we have a Super Moon and last night, 19th of March was one of these.
It is something to watch out for, to the people that are still having Saturday where you are.
Astronomers call it a Perigee Moon and it is the biggest full moon. ( It was hard to photograph )
Fall seven times, stand up eight.
~ Japanese Proverb
With all that our Japanese friends have been going through, I pray for strength and courage for them, to get through these difficult and sad times with rebuilding and recovering.
The world is with you.
Wishing all my dear friends a happy rest of the weekend and I hope your week takes good care of you.
Hugs
Carolyn
Oh my, Carolyn...your photos are just beautiful. Sunsets over water are always so pretty. And your shot of the full moon turned out so well. Lovely work getting it...
ReplyDeleteWe won't see the full moon here tonight. We are expecting 15cm of snow over the next couple of days...ugh!!
Wishing you a happy week!
Hugs, Nancy
You took an amazing photo of the moon! We've been outside all evening taking photos! It really is HUGE and awe inspiring! I love the quote you posted...very good for all of us! ♥

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous sunset. How lucky you are to have such a view!
ReplyDeleteMy niece told me about the moon. I'll have to look for it tonight. It was a pretty nice day so I am hoping the clouds won't obscure it. Have a glorious weekend Carolyn!
Beautiful sunset, red sky at night, sailor's delight.
ReplyDeleteI missed seeng the Super Moon . . we are having a terrible storm this weekend . . .
xxoo
Beautiful photos Carolyn! Yes, our moon was stunning last night here too. We can't see it tonight for the cloud cover, but last night's moon was just gorgeous! What an amazing veiw you have!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it comforting somehow, knowing that we are both looking at the same moon? I find it fascinating that the world is becoming so small that I can type and you will get my message within minutes, and we are continents away from each other!
now that is a blessing indeed.
sending hugs
Hi Carolyn, you have the same rosey sunset that I photographed here the other nite. Gorgeous! I tried to get the moon last nite but my little camera doesn't take such great pictures at nite. That last little Japanese craft piece is just darling! My thoughts constantly are with all those who are suffering. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful!Again :)
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the sunset and the full moon are so fine. We got here the same red color early in the Saturday morning when I woke up. After few minutes it was over. The colors of the nature are perfect!
Thank you for your comment in my blog!!
I wish you a happy week!
Your sunset looks so beautiful, Carolyn. I love that there are some little islands and headlands in your view.
ReplyDeleteThe moon was really amazing. When I got up early yesterday, it nearly looked like a sunset. The moon was almost orange and went down over the ocean.
Have a lovely Sunday!
xoxo,
Julia

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful pictures of these beautiful colored sky and the full moon you have a nice photo taken. I still find it quite difficult to make the moon a picture. Here was the full moon last night so great.
I wish you a great week and my thoughts are also with the people in Japan.

ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Beauty is there if you just open your eyes.
ReplyDeleteWasn't the moon magnificent! It was a bit cloudy here, so it was playing hide and seek. Still, the drifting clouds made for extra drama.
Prayers for the Japanese people. That proverb is one of my favorites.

Dearest Carolyn - this sight is really - W O W ! ! ! Wonderful colors and an amazing moon! And I love the Japanese Proverb. I think that's what we all have to do in hard times. I hope (and I believe) Japanese people will have the energy to stand up again. They are a strong, disciplined nation.

I saw the super moon, too, Carolyn! But what enthralled me the most about it, is how there seemed to be a blue rim of light emanating from around it, I wonder if it was the reflection of the tides, because it was so big and so bright? :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well and happy, you and yours ♥
Love,
C

Hello Carolyn
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful work, and what a moon eh? We watched it in Australia at what must have been the same time almost (give or take a few hours). Amazing how people all around the world can experience such a wonderous phenomenon.
