Harrods Department store

Harrods located in the fashionable Knightsbridge area, is the most famous and luxurious department store in London. They were having their twice yearly sale so it was good to go and take a look.
You are able to buy anything here from top designer brands, with upmarket prices, eat at many of the restaurants and buy fruit, vegetables and food at the amazing food hall.

View some of the most expensive and beautiful jewellery and watches from all around the world.
These displays had signs, that no photographs were allowed to be taken.
One hand made watch had the price tag of 275-000 pound, about the cost of a small apartment.

There is an Egyptian themed room
Since the death of Diana Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed, Mohamed Fayed commissioned a memorial shrine to the couple.
Had to take a coffee break and rest our feet.
I am wishing everybody a beautiful weekend ~ hard to believe that February is almost over. Many thanks for visiting me and the comments you leave and to all the new followers to my blog.

Hugs
Carolyn

More great photos of your trip - how much fun Harrods must have been. I'm fascinated by the Egyptian room! However, I'd have to say that you'd most likely find me in that pink cake store - that looks fabulous!

  19. Glad to hear you got to spend your hard earned Kiwi $'s in Harrods dear Carolyn. The Food Hall followed closely by the shoe dept. would be pretty close to heaven I reckon.

P.S. Poor Diana must have spun in her grave when that hideous memorial was stuck up in the store!

  26. Hey you cute girl...I hope you brought that pricey little piece home. hehe Ok, maybe not, but hopefully something from this amazing Harrods did! I love the beautiful shine for Princess Di and Dodi. Do you know that Dodi's brother lives here in Idaho most of the time? His home is only 45 miles from my little town. Crazy huh? Who would have thought Idaho, in the US? But I live near the famous ski resort Sun Valley...and their family are BIG skiers.

I hope you are having the best time!

    sending you big hugs

Dearest, I am assuming you are well after that horrible earthquake in your country...do you know anyone in Christ Church? Fond regards my dear, Anita
