It's Friday and a few old rusty things.

It's Friday here and the best thing of all, is that we get to sleep in tomorrow.
The weather is great, a nice clear Autumn day so I thought I would share a few photos.
My birdbath ~ to show the Birdbath Chronicles, my rusty little birdbath and the other photos are the view taken from off our deck.

The other keys are from Count your blessings blog ~ I just love old keys and the history behind them. An old key that opens some door, somewhere in the past.

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential......
these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Have a fabulous weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

  4. Oh what a cute birdbath! Do you put water in it? I love your view, its simply magnificent.

Yes, old keys have a certain charm, everyone hangs onto them, long after their door or their use has vanished.

Have a good weekend too and thanks again for the mash and egg recipe!

  6. Hi Lavinia,

When it rains it fills with water and I have often seen birds having a drink. Yes, I try and keep it full.
We have Tuis which are around in the bush and they are really lovely Native birds.

You are welcome for that recipe, good sort of standby when you don't know what to cook.

  12. Thank you Dolores, and Patricia for visiting and yes, we do take the view for granted sometimes and it is nice been able to see the water.

Yes, Bella a trip... to the Doctor for a tetnus injection with stepping on rusty nails. I remember doing that as a kid and not a nice thing.

Thank Vee, yes the more I think of it the Chateau can have it's problems. I love to watch those shows where people move over there and run in to all sorts of problems. Even down to getting the Mayor to authorize building renovations. One house was riddled with termites and the house was slowly deteriorating before the poor, new owners eyes.
I think you would really need to know what you were doing.

About the sleep in - I can't really and seem to be programmed to wake at 6.00 am when the alarm normally goes off during the week days.

  24. Thanks Karen ~ it is beautiful and I still love living here, it will be coming up 20 years.

Sometimes though that last ferry back home, can be tricky not wanting to miss that. You really do know that you are living on an Island.
