March Days

Have not found the time to spend on my  blog as life seems to be busy here and a lot going on.
We have builders working on our home, putting in a new retaining wall so as I write, can hear saws buzzing, rocks sliding down a shute to back fill and with the radio playing loudly and chitchat between the builders, it is all go. My job is making cups of coffee and tea to make their job a little easier and keep them hydrated in the heat.
Come the afternoon, when they finish for the day, all goes back to peace and quiet.

We are having the most glorious weather, clear blue skies but you can feel the days are shorter and getting up in the morning now, the sky is dark.  Daylight saving starts here on Sunday so that is a signal that Autumn and winter will not be far away, so will make the most of the lovely weather

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I look forward to coming over to say hello and see what you are up to.
I hope you have a wonderful week
hugs
Carolyn

  5. I have been busy lately, too. There should be no pressure in blogging, though. You posts are always fun to read whenever I see them. Good luck with your project! We had painters in the house for five days last summer, so I know how it is.

  7. These are pretty pictures, Carolyn. That table is such a peaceful setting. Would love to have tea with you and visit. Hang in there with all the noise. The builders won't be there that much longer. : )

A happy week to you, Carolyn.

  8. Dearest Carolyn,
Wishing you all the best for the progress on your new retaining wall.
Those are times we all have to live through in order to improve things in the end!
Here the very same, not that much time for blogging or visiting.
Yesterday I did the big dinner for Pieter's club at our home. Need to recover from that. The shopping (is long distance for us to find specialty food items) and than the tidying of the home and the final cooking and table setting.
So happy that is over with. Now the tax papers need to get done... Than finally we can start cruising along 2017.
    Let's hope it goes smooth.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  9. Thanks for sending the longer days to us - hopefully you're sharing the heat too. Its dank, grey and typically English weather today so perfect to catch up on blogs and some stitching. lovely to hear from you as always.

  11. What a pretty little seating area, Carolyn! I know you can't enjoy it now with all the work going on, but I'm sure it is a little refuge once the workmen leave for the day. How kind of you to bring them refreshments, too. Here we are just starting spring and you are winding down towards winter....I do love the autumn, though. I think it is my favorite time of year. Sending hugs and hope you get some peace and quiet soon! xo Karen
