Venice
Venice was a fun City to explore and of course, stopping every moment to take a photo.
Here are a few more of the highlights of our trip
Rising early in the morning was the best time to be out and about before the huge crowds swarmed, to this big tourist attraction.
The early morning light and then again at dusk mixes magically with the ancient stone, old bricks and bridges all around the City.
We visited 'The Doge's Palace', a masterpiece of Gothic Architecture and was amazing walking through exquisite rooms and admiring the opulence and decoration.
Looking up at the beauty and magnificent ceilings was overwhelming.
We had to be up bright and early on the last day and the water taxi came to pick us up. It was very cold and the sun was just rising, so a lovely memory we will keep of our trip to Venice.
It made for the perfect end to our Venice holiday.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend and thank you so much for stopping by ~
hugs
Carolyn

Beautiful pictures of Venice reminding me of our time there over 10 years ago. It was just as well I wasn't so much into photography then as I would take too many pictures if I visited there now! Sarah x
ReplyDeleteDearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteyour pictures of Venice remind me of my own beautiful holidays there. It is really a fascinating city and you captured beautiful impressions!
You are right, it's really very hot here... But luckily in Austria there are still no dangerous forest fires...
Hugs my dear,
