Happy weekend

Hello dear friends,

I always love flowers and what better way to start off my little note,  is with a bunch of pretty peonies, sadly not out of my garden ... wish they were.

Doing jobs around the house has been keeping me quite busy at the moment which unfortunately means less time to sit down at the computer.
After a month away the garden has been neglected and there are so many weeds and things that need doing outdoors.
I am finally getting around to stripping the old dark red wallpaper in the entrance and stairway. It seems like it is glued with superglue {not} and is taking forever.

This weekend the All blacks and the Wallabies face off for the final match to decide who is going to win the Rugby World Cup. We were invited out to watch the game, but as it starts at the unearthly hour of 4 am, may just watch it at home dressed in my pyjamas as I like my bed and sleep.
Go the All Blacks!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
hugs
Carolyn

  5. Hi Dear Carolyn, LOVE the gorgeous blooms. Peonies always remind me of my mother. She could grow them beautifully. I have no luck here. Maybe it's too hot.
I know you have your hands full with the wall paper removal. Hope it goes well and Best wishes to the All Backs. Enjoy the weekend.
We are having Halloween trick or treating here tonight. It's been raining buckets so we hope it stops enough for the kiddos to get out.
    Sending hugs your way. cm

  8. Dearest Carolyn,
Oh so true if you have been away on a trip, there is that punishment waiting for you to catch up on a lot of neglected things. It almost can become overwhelming at times.
Gardens do consume lots of time and so do chores at the home.
Sending you hugs for a happy Sunday.

  10. Happy November, Carolyn!
I really like that wallpaper you are removing. :) But I do know how difficult it it is to remove. Takes so much patience.
When you've been away, you look at things with a new eye and there's always so many changes you want to make.
Love the colors on those peonies!
    Hugs

  13. Oh Carolyn, that looks like so much work stripping off the wallpaper, but once it's done you can concentrate of your new design. Can't wait to see what you choose. Your Peonies are beautiful, and I love the soft pink colors. My cousin who passed always loved Peonies, so I think of her every time I see them.

    Happy November, dear Carolyn.

  21. It will be nice to see what you do with this area. Wallpaper is wonderful, but scrapping it off takes elbow grease! Been there, done that many times. Am worn out just looking at what you are doing.
