A few summertime photos

Hi dear friends,
Sunflowers make me happy, seeing their smiley bright faces

Just popping in  today and hope you are having a happy January.
I love this month because it means a fresh start to the year and a good time to clean up and get a lot of things done around the home.

Thank you for the kind wishes for a happy new year and I am sending the same back to you all.

Summer days are here, with clear blue skies and sunshine. These photos were taken on a walk around the Esplanade - the pohutakawa trees always make a gorgeous show - the red flowers when they drop to the ground, make like the red carpet,  of the  Oscars night.

We offer our sincere condolences to the French people in this dark time and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I look forward to coming to say hello soon.
Enjoy the weekend
hugs
Carolyn

  6. Your sunny photos make me dream of the summer to come - I still find it strange to think that it is mid-summer for you and mid-winter for us.

  7. Good morning dearest Carolyn,

YOU GO OUT THERE and enjoy the sun for us up here in the north! WOW is it cold and outrageously, ridulously dangerous on the roads. We had over 800 car accidents in two day! So enjoy that beach for me! Anita

  29. Hello Carolyn,

Oh these wonderful summery images make us wish we were back in South America rather than in the icy chill of Budapest.

Sunflowers are so cheerful. They brighten even the darkest of days with their happy faces.

May 2015 bring you many smiles, peace, joy and prosperity.

  39. Carolyn,
Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers here in Kansas. It's our state flower. I have a soft spot for these cheery blossoms that bear sunflower seeds certain times of the year. They are so neat to see and enjoy.

    Your flowers are beautiful,
    d
