Sunflowers make me happy, seeing their smiley bright faces |
Just popping in today and hope you are having a happy January.
I love this month because it means a fresh start to the year and a good time to clean up and get a lot of things done around the home.
Thank you for the kind wishes for a happy new year and I am sending the same back to you all.
Summer days are here, with clear blue skies and sunshine. These photos were taken on a walk around the Esplanade - the pohutakawa trees always make a gorgeous show - the red flowers when they drop to the ground, make like the red carpet, of the Oscars night.
We offer our sincere condolences to the French people in this dark time and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I look forward to coming to say hello soon.
Enjoy the weekend
hugs
Carolyn

Your sunny photos make me dream of the summer to come - I still find it strange to think that it is mid-summer for you and mid-winter for us.
ReplyDeleteGood morning dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYOU GO OUT THERE and enjoy the sun for us up here in the north! WOW is it cold and outrageously, ridulously dangerous on the roads. We had over 800 car accidents in two day! So enjoy that beach for me! Anita

ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteOh these wonderful summery images make us wish we were back in South America rather than in the icy chill of Budapest.
Sunflowers are so cheerful. They brighten even the darkest of days with their happy faces.
May 2015 bring you many smiles, peace, joy and prosperity.
It's such a treat to see that blue skies and flowers are still going strong in other parts of the world.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the gray post holiday doldrums, but the days are getting longer! HURRAH!!!

Hi Carolyn .... Yes it's a new year and time to look forward to all that 2015 has in store for us. I trust for you and your family it will be a year of health and safety with a goodly dash of happiness thrown in.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear the dreadful news from Paris but the people there are united and it was so heartening to see them out marching in support of freedom
Beautiful summertime photos, even though I am a true winter lover at heart :)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, the red flowered trees are beautiful. I've never seen these before, except on your blog. It's summer there, and cold and wintery here. Loving it just the same. Your flower pictures are extra special when I see them. I'm glad the new year is off to a good start for you, Carolyn.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
I was wondering if you had a link for your last follower.? She followed me as well, and I can't seem to find a link for her and I wanted to thank her and visit her also.
ReplyDeleteA slightly belated Happy New Year to you! I am finally getting back into a routine after returning from our festive break. I see that you have the most beautiful blue skies over there and the pohutakawa trees are stunning. Many of our trees are bare and I can't wait for spring to come!
ReplyDeleteSunflowers make me happy, too :)
ReplyDeleteAh, such lovely, cherry photos! Makes me smile!! We've been fogged in for days . . . . I miss the sunshine!!! Love the sunflower photo! Beautiful!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! Right now, I'm bundled in a sweater, and all my toes are soooooo cold. But your photos bring a little summer warmth my way. Thanks! Have a beautiful weekend.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn,
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are one of my favorite flowers here in Kansas. It's our state flower. I have a soft spot for these cheery blossoms that bear sunflower seeds certain times of the year. They are so neat to see and enjoy.
Your flowers are beautiful,
