More of Melbourne
We hopped on a tram which twisted and turned along the streets of Melbourne and will now show you a few more of the sights we captured along the journey.
The Hotel Windsor, apparently was where Royalty and movie stars came to stay back in the day. The grandeur and elegance of the Hotel still looks like this would be a wonderful place to stay today. I do love the marvelous Victorian architecture and a room with a balcony would be very nice
Regarded by many as one of the spectacular landmarks of Melbourne, is the iconic Princess Theatre - Rogers and Hammersteins, The King and I was playing there
I imagine the birdseye view overlooking the City from the Melbourne Star Observation wheel would be fun
You could take the slow way, by horse and carriage, to see the City if you had time
The beautiful sweet horses were obviously used to the hustle and bustle of the noisy City and they posed for me, while I took a photo
Thank you as always, for your visits and thoughtful words.
I wish you a happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn

It looks like such a beautiful city. I would really enjoy visiting someday. Thank you for sharing your great photos.
ReplyDeleteIt surprise me that Australians think that there is more history in England than they have at home, especially when I see such beautiful old buildings as this - there is plenty of history in Australia too, just in a different way! The horses look lovely and as though they are quite happy in their work. xx
ReplyDeleteLook at those two lovely EQUINES, my favorite animal in the whole world. How I'd love to take a horse and carriage ride! Have a super weekend my friend! Anita
