What is making me happy today

It's the little things that make me happy and here are a few of my favourites today

These pretty sunflowers are in my kitchen and they brighten up the house. They make me smile today  with their bold and happy faces

I am listening to the raindrops falling on the roof and both of our tanks are full up now.
This will now mean instead of a quick shower of a few minutes long

we can now take a relaxing soak in the old claw foot bath. This is one of my favourite things to do, with some scented bubbles and essesential oils to rejeuvenate and nourish my skin. I find it to be one of the most luxurious and enjoyable ways to spend a little time, especially after some exercise, for health and well-being.

Thank you always for stopping by here to say hello. I am grateful for your friendship and to new followers. Now that the olives have  been picked, I look forward to coming to visit you all.
Today is Anzac day here in New Zealand and we have a holiday.
Wishing you a wonderful Thursday, dear friends

hugs
Carolyn

On the 25th April, New Zealanders and Australians recognize this National occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australians and NZ'ers during the First World War. The soliders became known as ANZAC's and the pride they took in that name endures to this day.
Lest we forget.

  7. Hello Beautiful Carolyn!

I just love your photos. And that claw foot tub is just awesome! I am envious. :) How wonderful for you to get to enjoy some soaks in this beauty. Your sunflowers a sunshine in the kitchen, love them. I enjoyed seeing the beauty of your home.

Wishing you a wonderful and beautiful end of the week.

And don't you just love the sounds of raindrops on the roof!? I sure do. However, I am tired of rain at the moment. We are supposed to have warmer and sunnier days ahead. I'm thrilled. My yard is screaming for some TLC. :)

    Have a nice Friday, Carolyn.

  44. Hello Carolyn
Oh that's so good you will be able to enjoy a lovely long soak in the bath - it will feel like sheer luxury after waiting for so long!
Now wasn't all that rain worth it?!!!!!
Living on the mainland with access to water at the turn of the tap, I forget about those who rely on rain to fill their water tanks.

Sunflowers always take me back to France - yours are beautiful and I imagine they were grown on Waiheke too.
Hope you're having an enjoyable week Carolyn, we must get together sometime soon!

  49. I love when I read something on a blog that triggers a happy memory. Your line, "listening to the raindrops falling on the roof and both of our tanks are full up" took me back to living in Jamaica - rain on a tin roof and our empty water tank filling up. Thank you.
