Summer 'show and shine cars'

A few weeks ago we went to a fundraiser, for the Waiheke Volunteer Coastguards, to  look at some gorgeous old vintage and classic cars.
On a brilliant sunshiny day, the cars really did look wonderful  the chrome was gleaming and cheerful pops of polished colour everywhere.  After looking at all the  wonderful old cars, these were some of my favourites.
How I wish they still made some of these beauties, the shapes and colours were really outstanding.

Alongside this car, our friend Nicole matched this car perfectly,... both looked stunning, in purple.

How would you like to drive down the road in this Chevrolet or which one do you like best?

Let's imagine we are driving along the road in 'Anabel', and we can stop for a picnic by the seaside .... we will throw down a blanket, place the picnic hamper down and enjoy a picnic lunch with lots of delightful food.  Sounds like a fun day!
Thank you so much for stopping by
Wishing you all a very happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hi Carolyn, I adore classic cars. They just have lovelier shapes and more personality than the newer ones, don't they. It would be fun to drive any of them
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  9. I'm not into cars, but those are really pretty. There are collectors of old cars here in Kuwait which was a surprise to me since everyone seems to want new and expensive. Hope you have a great day. Tammy

Well, I like Buick and Chevrolet - but rather the 40s. Unbeatable: Nicole next to the hot rod of the same color! Cool!
I used to be more often on U.S. car meetings and because I have to think straight - thanks to you. Have a nice evening - best wishes,

  26. A vintage car event is great fun in the sun and we all enjoy them, especially my husband and son. I admire the way they have been restored and maintained. The very old one with the picnic basket is my favourite and I like the colour of the first one.

These cars have so much character and are gorgeous. I'd love it if my daughter would choose one if these beauties as a transportation vehicle when she gets

  31. Carolyn,
Just one more thing we have in common - I love old vintage cars and am drawn to them every time I see them! These are beauties, aren't they? I have to say that my favorite one is that first turquoise car. And the purple one....wow! I'm glad you had a fun time at the car show. These are all classics.

It looks like a splendid day of sun and fun!
