Pink roses ~ joy today
The pink roses were beautiful when fresh, but love how they look now, all dried and turned to a dusky pink, with a vintage look.
I just dried them in the vase and I did not even need to hang them upside down like I normally do.
More than anything I must have flowers always, always
~ Monet
Today it is another beautiful and sunny day and it reminds me to be thankful.
Thank you for coming by my friend and for new followers, welcome and I really appreciate those that are kind enough to leave a little note.
Hope you are having a beautiful week
hugs
Carolyn

Thank you for letting me see the beauty of a faded bouquet of roses. I also love the cut blomer in my home. Right now we can buy daffodils and they are so cheap that I can always have 3 fresh bouquets, the smells very mild but clearly.
ReplyDeleteYes the sun is life-giving. Have a nice day.

Your roses look so lovely and how wonderful to keep them for a longer period. Did you just put them in a vase with no water to dry them?
ReplyDeleteSarah x
Sarah, I put the roses in just a little amount of water and they dried.

I don't remember when I dried flowers last time. Those little pleasures seem to escape among other 'important' daily stuff. Maybe it's time to bring back the tradition :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments, have a fabulous day! x

ReplyDeleteThank you for your anniversary wishes! It was fantastic. It was simple but so sweet. My husband wrote the most beautiful poem and we went out to our favorite GROCERY STORE after a bit of fun, and the cashier gave me my choice of flowers to pick from their flower dept....for FREE! I got myself a lovely bunch of white tulips....AHhhh....I love them so!

They dried to a beautiful shade of pink. I usually put the petals in a bowl to enjoy. Most of the time, the petals fall off of mine! Hugs!

I have enjoyed reading your previous posts...just a little slow to get here. Too many projects, not enough time!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Dear Carolyn, my mom is a master when it comes to cut flowers. She always has fresh cut flowers at home and almost every rose bouquet is dried. She has a cabinet where she displays the dried flowers.;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I got married last year, it was at the city hall and the only people present -except for the clerk (and the city hall employees as witnesses)- were me and my husband. He nevertheless bought me a stunning bridal bouquet and I could not bear that fact that it only played a role for 30 minutes. So I have dried it and it still looks lovely a year on. I hope it will keep forever.
Have a great weekend dear friend,
xoxo
Beautiful flowers!
