Summer time
Roses are like friends, they bring colour to your world.
The world is a rose, smell it and pass it to your friend ~ this one is for you.
It was growing in the garden at the Council where I went to pay the rates bill. The fragrance was heavenly and the colour so pretty and perfect. Made a little chore seem a whole lot nicer.
I'd rather have roses on my table, than diamonds on my neck
~ Emma Goldman
Summertime calls for fresh fruit and I get excited when I go shopping, and see a wonderful assortment of ripe fruit. The perfect snack is a juicy apricot or nectarine.
I just want to say hello and wish you all a very happy week and let you know I'm thinking of you. I look forward to coming to visit you soon.
Hugs
Carolyn

Dear Carolyn, beautiful sentiments about roses. I had a magnificent red rose in my white house, but in our former home even though there were roses, none could compare. I can see we have perhaps some gorgeous roses in our new home, but I need to explore some more.;)
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for our summer to commence, but it is still months away - enjoy yours.;))
xoxo
Oh, the color of that rose is gorgeous, Carolyn! No wonder it made you smile.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I love apricots. So often the ones we get here are mealy. Hope yours were lovely and juicy!
Happy Thursday!

Dearest Carolyn, The rose is outstandingly beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful.
I am counting the days until we have our Spring/Summer. This cold weather is difficult. I'll pretend that I am smelling this rose and enjoy eating fresh fruit.

Nice flower!

That rose is a lovely color. We saw so many different flowers in Sri Lanka. Bougainvillea in so many different colors. Our weather patterns are so different here. We've already seen the time of plums and apricots -- my husband keeps bringing home fresh strawberries right now. Wishing you a wonderful evening. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe rose is so gentle and beautiful! <33

That is beautiful ~ what an amazing color! I'm envious of your summer weather. I'm tiring of wool, scarves and boots in my daily wardrobe.

The bowl of fruit (apricots?) is lovely and has a delicate scent, I imagine. I like a bowl of lemons for decoration and eventual use, too.
