Hello dear friends,
I hope you have had a good weekend
I'm sorry I have been absent lately, things have been busy here, with working on the new look for our lounge.
Martin has given the ceiling two coats of paint and the final one will go on next weekend.
I have removed the brass door knobs and have given them a polish, my job was to paint the undercoat on the doors, skirting boards and the windowsills. The preparation seems to take a long time, but worth it to do a good job.
I'm so happy that the room is all starting to come together and we have decided on a wallpaper, we will use .
I have said this before,... how much the pansies growing in my garden make me happy
I wish you a happy new week.
Hugs
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteCarolyn,
ReplyDeleteWe are doing a similar project and so I understand all the hard work involved. Those ceilings.. kind of a pain in the neck! :) I'm painting walls, trim and touching up doors. It's amazing how much paint it takes around those window! The wood seems to soak it up especially if the strip the wood prior to painting. We will hopefully start our cabinets in a couple weeks when we return from our trip.
Sounds like you are doing what it takes to achieve the perfect look.
Enjoy your week!

Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what a new coat of paint will do for a room. I wish I could see what it looks like when it is completed. I love what is written on the chalkboard. It is such a cheerful reminder. I hope you are having a good summer.
