Looking out

From the apartment this is what they overlook, the rear side of Saint Matthew in the City, a wonderful historic church renowned for its neo-Gothic style, since its completion in 1905.
It was a surprise on the first day, when our kids were woken by the sound of the peal of church bells ringing out.
Just to the left of the red building which is Sky City and the Casino, you are just able to see the start of the Auckland Harbour bridge, which is in the Waitemata Harbour.

Life in the big city is so different, from the quiet and small Island where we live.
There seems to be always something to look at out the window, they can lie in bed and look up at the sky tower, there are people everywhere and it is much noisier with the sound of cars and sirens.

    What a view!! You are with one foot in the weekend already, Carolyn, make it a good one. I think it a perfect idea to fill it up with lots of relaxation!

    The view is fabulous and of course there is so much to see and to do. The noise level is another aspect, luckily that they live at the very top. That helps at least something; but they're young!

    Hi Carolyn. Delighting in the week-end here in Kansas. Doing yard work in preparing for colder weather to shuffle in. Not ready for cold, cold weather. Like it when it's about 75 degrees and slightly breezy.
