The first Freesias are out in the garden and there is a definite Spring feeling in the air!
With a little flurry of snow the other day, (for all of about 2 minutes ) when I looked out the window it was not rain and it was not hail, but the soft powdery white stuff.
We never get snow here where I live, so it made it all the more exciting for me.
One kind word, can warm three winter months
~ Japanese proverb
My white camellia bush is delightful and love the pretty white flowers which remind me of whipped cream.
The tuis are making an appearance again and won't be long before they are drinking the sweet nectar, from the beautiful yellow blossom of the kowhai tree
I love Spring ... what season do you like best?
Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
Dear Carolyn
ReplyDeleteWow.... so nice your pictures! Yes, you have really spring feeling in the air and in Switzerland we have summer feeling in the air. We have a lot of sun and it's hot!
Enjoy your spring time!
Have a nice weekend.
Hugs Yvonne
Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely and perfect flowers you show us here. Once we had freesias too but the bulbs got eaten I guess... LOVE their fragrance. If you take them inside and place on the night table you create a romantic heaven.
Yes, for me Spring is THE season! The fullest for blossoms and the most fragrant ones do bloom in spring time. The temperature is still perfect before the heat of summer comes in.
Enjoy your upcoming spring and indulge in your flowers!
Love to you,
Mariette
I love any time there is cooler weather. Not sure if we have Fall, Winter or Spring -- it's only a few months out of the year when the weather is not hot and that is definitely my favorite time.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in the South, we didn't see snow either, so when we would get a little flurry, it was always very exciting.
Hope your day is great. Tammy
and I like summer best, pity that it is almost the end here...
ReplyDeleteWish you a beautiful saturday, in your new coming spring, dear Carolyn- I too love spring- but also autumn, with the cosy feeling ,and the smell of winter arriving.

When it's Springtime, I like Spring best but then I feel the same way about the Fall. Summer and Winter don't make much difference for me one way or the other.

ReplyDeleteThis post makes me smile ear-to-ear, Carolyn. To think of you awaiting Spring and us awaiting Fall to arrive. I hope Spring will arrive soon at your doorstep my friend. Warmer weather, lovely flowers popping, Spring is my favorite season.

Beautiful white flowers!! I'd have to say Fall is my favorite season. There's something about the leaves falling, and the crisp cool air, and pumpkim pie. It's all wonderful to me.

Oh dearest,
ReplyDeleteYour spring is started to develop and our fall is now starting to peek in! Today will be showers and 64 degrees Farenheit...such a different feel from the HOT summer we have had. What a great one. Yes, I do start on Wednesday. You are painting your deck?! Oh, that is FOR SURE a sign of summer COMING! And dearest, you sew clothing too? A tweed suit....I remember when I was little, my mom sewed all my clothing, even SLIPS and COATS!!! Sew sewed shirts for my dad, too!
Enjoy all the things that you do to make your home cozy and happy!!! So good to see you, Anita
Thank you, Carolyn, for your sweet visit! I have to try to remember what Spring feels like...Oh, yeah..it's beautiful!! But now my head is filled with thoughts of Autumn, my favorite season. But , really, I love every season, and they all have their special beauty. Aren't we all blessed?
ReplyDeleteHave a Super Sunday!

Lovely white flowers! We have here the last days of the summer and after very hot and dry one there is not much flowers left in my garden. The colorful autumn is coming and actually it is the best time of the year, I think!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!
Hugs Maina
I love autumn the best, with its smoky smells, heavy dew that makes spiders webs stand out and the leaves go yellow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, darling!
ReplyDeleteI think autumn is my favorite season!

here we're having our first signs of autumn,
ReplyDeleteI love all the seasons, but I don't really like November,
What beautiful photos, Carolyn! So happy that spring is coming for you. We're getting ready to say goodbye to summer unfortunately but there are definitely good things to look forward to during the fall :)
ReplyDeleteSpring is my favourite season.. a new beginning. The smell of fresh turned soil and the chirping of the birds after a long winter are some of my favourite things. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWanda
Lucky you, having spring in front of you! For us, it'll be fall soon. I love all seasons, exept winter could be much shorter for my liking ;) Have a great start to your week!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn -- thank you for your sweet visit to my blot for Tablescape Thursday. I know that wonderful feeling of Spring after the seemingly endless cold of Winter. The first blooms seem to bring us to life as well. I have to say, that were I live, I think Autumn in our best season. We have many warm days and the nights become crisp. I love sweater weather, and when our leaves turn yellow, orange, purple and brilliant red -- the only down side is that it leads to winter! Our Springs, while quite lovely, seem to be rather short and then right into the heat of Summer. Wouldn't it be wonderful to follow your favorite season all around the world? Enjoy the new blooms of Spring.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite season is Spring when the Jonquils start to pop and Summer when trees are lush and full of every shape and size of leafy beauty and Autumn when the pumpkins are HUGE and every step through the woods crunches underfoot and Winter when snow softly drifts in mounds upon our hills... Oh dear, I just love them all! I am so glad we have four of them!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring to you!
Jeri
You are going into your Spring..while we head into Fall. Enjoy your sweet flowers..wish I had Spring flowers blooming.
ReplyDeleteAnd Lemons...yum!
Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful new week! Love to you,

Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI love spring and autumn best.Thank you for your comments. Catherine
Hi Caroly, how lucky you are to have spring and summer coming! It has been such a beautiful summer and I want it to last a little longer. But my favourite time of the year is autumn. I love the colors and the blue sky. I love the cold air and the leaves blowing in the wind. And a cup of warm tea, of course...Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteLove, Kristin
Beautiful flowers. I can smell them from here. It's been a dreadfully hot Summer for us. Now it seems we may get a hurricane this weekend. Ick. I love the Fall or Autumn as ya'll call it. I love the crisp, clean air and the smell.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week girlfriend!
xx, shell
Spring gives me allergies. :-D
ReplyDeleteI would have to say fall. I love fall. :) I was born in the fall. :) I love winter, as well. Summer is too hot. :p
Dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your first glimpes of Spring in pictures. Your flowers are lovely and I am sure the warmer days welcome. We are still with very HOT temps and I think we hit 55 days of 100 plus. I lost track now!!
I bet it was a fun surprise to see some snow flurries even for a short time. We never get snow here either, but last year was the exception. We have gone from one extreme to another. Oh well it's Texas.
Have a great week and thank you for stopping by for tea. Lovely to see you.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Hi Carolyn! Your blooms are simply lovely!! I know you are thrilled to have some signs of spring! Here we are waiting for signs of fall! I really love all of the seasons, although in Florida, the changes aren't too extreme. That is how I like it!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a delightful week! You are a joy!
Hugs,
Becky

I thought those are camellias! They look to me like peonies or camellias! :) So that is what a white freesia looks like? :)
