Now I know many of you are not interested in awards, and may already have the Stylish Blogger Award, but just want to let you know that your blogs are a delight to visit and understand if you do not have the time to do this.

When I was at primary school, I was very shy and would blush like a beetroot whenever I was embarrassed. I am glad to have grown out of this.

I love to bake, the smell of a cake cooking is one of the nicest smells around the house.
A pot of fresh coffee, always brings me rushing down the stairs.

I love breakfasts on Sunday morning, we often have bacon and eggs and it is nice to be able to relax and eat out on the deck if the weather is nice.

I am happy to meet new friends on my blog and get excited to see a new follower and always enjoy going back to visit you.

Walking barefoot along the sand and enjoying the fresh air.

I was surprised when I last had my eyes tested and the bottom lines were a little bit of a blur.
I now have to wear spectacles a little more than I used to. Must be the age factor.

On my blackboard in the hallway, I like to write an inspirational note or quote to take me out on my day.

Have a wonderful week
Hugs Carolyn

  1. Such beautiful beach! How lucky you are...to have a beach.:) Just the thought of fresh coffee in the morning gets me out of bed. I can't wait to have that first cup in the mornings. Coffee in the morning, a hot bath at night.:)
    Have a beautiful week.

  2. Dear Carolyn, it´s so nice knowing a little bit more about you (what a shy girl you were). I do too like walking barefoot on the sand and the house and garden (my feet are not to show these days). I´m so happy to have met you through blogging and I too wear spectacles from few years ago, otherwise I wouldn´t be able to write this to you!!!
The blackboard with an inspiring sentence everyday, that I loved it and I think I will take this idea from you some day.
hugs my dear and have a wonderful week.

  5. Hello Carolyn! It was nice to read all of that, about you! I was VERY shy when I was little, so much so that I turned down all the roles that were given to me in school plays and theatrical performances! I was the best reader in my class, so the teacher wanted me to read a story at the class graduation, and I said NNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!!! And I disappointed my teacher and my parents and all my classmates, and it was just terrible! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh well! Long time ago! I guess that was the very first clue that I'm not a reader, I'm a writer! HA!

Cheers to you, and to your beautiful life and family ♥

  9. Good morning precious Carolyn! Oh, you too, with the eyes...I am wearing bifocals now and still can't see well!!! We are aging together...yeah! And doesn't the smell of cake remind you of childhood? At least for me, since my mum had a freshly baked cake waiting for me when I got home from school. That was an occasional treat, of course! BE WELL DEAREST! Anita

  25. Nice to find a fellow-blusher, Carolyn. And I can't even say I was particularly shy. I outgrew it too, but it used to be soooo embarrassing!
When I turned 50, the eyes started to go. They got worse but finally leveled out about 10 years ago. Have only had tiny changes since then, knock on wood!

  42. "sniff"............................that could be a beach somewhere in Portugal..... and... sadly... we may never get back to see it again.

Mr. BV has a severe problem with his right ear after flying.... we don't know the extent of it yet. He usually does have problems due to sinus problems... but...this is the worst yet. Had to take him to hospital Saturday at 3:00 a.m. Severe pain. Apparently there is a bulbous bloody mass in there and we are not yet sure if the ear drum has been perforated...but, with that severe pain.... I am pretty worried that is was. And...now...we wait...........with no idea how long this mass will take to dissipate or if it will need to be removed or what. today he sees our own doctor... perhaps more answers will be forthcoming.
