Playing with my camera

If the weather the past few weeks is anything to go by, it looks like the Summer is shaping up to be a great one.
All the winter clothes are packed away and the sunhats are waiting on the hallway hooks for an outing.

I love to spend time practicing my photography. I had a little play around this morning.

Tomorrow I will be heading back to Court and maybe I will be chosen to be one of the Jurors.
Who knows?
As it was my first time ever, reporting to do duty service I was very nervous but now I know what to expect and learned a little more about what was required and being with 221 others waiting in the large room, it did not seem as scary.
There were young and old, different races and from all walks of life, so made for an interesting group of people.
The smell of Rosemary is divine and I enjoy using it when I cook.

This was a message from one friend to another inside a book found at a bring and buy sale:

If nobody cared just a little for you,
And nobody thought about me,
And we all stood alone in the battle of life,
What a dreary old world it would be!

Hugs & love to new and old friends from all around the world
Have a happy week, my friends
Carolyn

  4. Hello Carolyn
It sounds so wonderful when you write that you have summer, today we have 13 degrees below zero here and a lot of snow. Exciting and hear if you get selected for jury.
    Good luck

  5. I'm a hat lover too!
Isn't it wonderful having all this sun so we can wear them again?

Very time consuming going through the selection process.
I've not been on a jury yet as each time I was called up, I was working.
    Fingers crossed for you Carolyn.

I've done a wee bear post you might like!!!

    hugs

I am not lying to Carolyn I opened the front door this morning and the wind blew me back a few feet and after Thanksgiving I am not a small person. Anyway I don't know why but I said Holy Moley. I never say that ...strange but it is cold...and I don't live in the North. hahaha

  13. I've always dreaded being chosen to serve on a jury...my father once had to when I was small and the trial lasted months!
I have a little stick of rosemary growing in a pot. It DOES smell lovely, and tastes lovely too.

  14. Hola dear Carolyn, so nice looking at all the posts I have missed, the beautiful pink peonies and, the outdoors arrangement, so lovely and knowing you might be a juror, is it like in the movies? sorry to ask this way but we don´t have that kind of things here.

  15. I had to do jury duty last Spring for the first time and it was nerve racking. I did have to serve on a trial too!
Lucky you to be moving into Summer, I'm jealous! Enjoy the weather and have a beautiful Wednesday Carolyn!

  16. Hello my friend. So funny to be thinking of you and summer with us thick in the late fall/early winter.

I had jury duty not long ago. Didn't have to sit on a jury though, so I was pretty happy.

  20. Hello Carolyn,
You are gearing up for summer and most of us are gearing up for the winter.Where I live in the most southern part of Miss, one day you can werar shorts the next day you will freeze, then hot all over again after that. You can never put away any clothes...LOL.
Lovely photos,You are really loving that camera..good girl.
Thank you so much for your well wishes.I had a test from hell Mon.and a worst test today. But they did discover something that they should have known all along to me,but I'm no Dr.
They told me my heart is not adjusting to my blood presure changes,so I bottom out.So far thats all I know.
    Don't worry I'll be fine.
I wish you merry and you take care,
    XXOO Marie

  22. Carolyn, you had me at first picture with fabulous french straw hats! I woke up today in th mood for snow and frost, but after reading your post I decided that snow can wait just a little while. We have a sunny day outside and my roses are still blooming. :-)

  23. Jury duty is such a pain. Luckily, all the times I've been called, they'd take one look at me and dismiss me. I was always called at the times I was most needed at home; there's never a convenient time for jury duty. Now I'm old enough and don't have to serve. After 15 or 20 calls, I never once made it to an actual jury. *smile* Some people like to go....not me.

Anyway, you are doing great with your camera, Carolyn!

  27. I was lulled into a false sense of Summer a couple of weeks ago & packed up all the Winter woolies - only to have to drag them all out again! We are now having another burst of hot weather, so I hope this is the real thing this time Carolyn!

  28. What a precious, beautiful little thing to put on your door, Carolyn! A piece of rosemary?? What a wonderful idea!! Where did you get that from?? :)

You are going to be a juror? My goodness! What a challenging job! I hope and pray that you have the strength to be one! It sounds a but like a serious challenge, to me! Or maybe I have just seen too many juror movies..haha! :)

    Lovingly,
    Charity
