Hello Everybody,
How was your weekend?... mine was lovely, but too short.
I treated myself with these lovely peonies when I went grocery shopping at the supermarket.
If only I could grow these beautiful flowers, they always remind me of a beautiful silk gown.
I was playing around with my new camera and still have so much to learn about it.
Having fun though with it and one day hope my photographs will be better.
An explosion at the Pike River coal mine, on the West Coast of the South Island, has trapped 29 miners. We are anxiously awaiting further news and our thoughts, hopes and prayers are with the miners, their family and friends and the rescue team.
Update~ sadly there has been a second massive explosion down the mine. Police have said the explosion was so powerful and ends all hope for the miners.
So a very sad and dark day for New Zealand. Prayers and comfort go out to all the people that have friends and family that were down the mine.

is having a generous giveaway ~ she is kindly giving a wonderful Advent Calender to some very, very lucky person.
24 bags with 24 clothespins, and she is going to fill the first 3 bags, with small surprises.
Why don't you go and visit her and her beautiful blog, and she always has such lovely photographs.
I appreciate everyone who takes the time out of their busy day, to leave me such encouraging comments. It was lovely to read all the notes you left, about my Dads apple tree, thank you very much.
Have a happy week
Hugs
Carolyn

It is so neat to be able to see what you are doing in your life across the pond!

Oh Carolyn, You have captured these Peonies perfectly - they are a lovely rose and one of my favourites, it's such a shame they haven't a perfume. I have some beautiful garden roses at the moment in a vase and they are fragrant!

XOXO Lola & Nora:)
My weekend was super busy! My nine-year-old son is modeling for Disney, and on Saturday he had rehearsals for his big fashion show Sunday! I was right there backstage with him, and ran out to the catwalk to take pictures of him walking down that catwalk and making those poses! :D My son is a natural, I must say. Superior stage-presence, no stage fright, and so calm and collected, I admire him so much! My son teaches me many things I can't learn anywhere else! :)
ReplyDeleteThese photos of your peonies are so pretty, Carolyn! I don't understand how you find all these exceptionally beautiful flowers to take photos of, and to share with us all! But I'm glad that you do! :)

Carolyn, I have to say that I believe that peonies are my top favorite choice in flowers and I absolutely love your pictures. :-))) Lucky you - you got to spend weekend doing your favorite things. I spent it in bed, in pain and miserable. Overworked, I think and it is time to relax. I am looking forward to closing my Atelier for Christmas vocation!:-)
ReplyDeleteThose are such beautiful flowers :)
ReplyDeleteThe story of the miners trapped near Greymouth has been big news back here in the Uk. Its been the main headline over the weekend. My thoughts and best wishes go out to them and their families and hope that there is a happy ending.
