We had a wonderful holiday away at Palm Cove, which is about 20 minutes out of Cairns in the beautiful Far North Queensland. Everyday the temperature was about 30 degrees (86) so it was gorgeous and we spent most of the day swimming and relaxing.
Here are a few photos we took and I will sort out some more to show you, once I have unpacked and done a few chores here.
This was home for the week we were away, a wonderful apartment Suite 1, which was right on the beach at the Angsana Resort. There were three lovely swimming pools and beautiful gardens and palms.
The staff were preparing an outdoor long lunch here.
This is a very popular place for weddings to take place and while we were there, there were three couples that were married at the lovely chapel at the resort.
Thank you for all the kind wishes you left for me, dear friends ~ I feel so grateful to have such wonderful friends.
The week without the computer seemed strange and with only our mobile phones to keep in touch with home, I did miss you all.
We thought it would be good to leave the emails, until we got back home and concentrate on having a good time, which we did.
It is great to go away... and lovely to be back home again and to be able to sleep in your own bed.
I hope that you are having an enjoyable week
Hugs
Carolyn

Very nice to speak to you both for the first time in - what? - 25 years? Neither of you sounded the slightest bit different - maybe a relaxed edge considering your location.
ReplyDeleteI don't suppose being there during the election made any impression on your enjoyment. (And the election didn't make much impression on Australia)
Anyway, really hope to catch you in person at soonest opportunity.
