Palm Cove part 2

This was the lookout on our day trip up to Port Douglas, which was a beautiful drive, albeit very hot in the convertible car we had hired.

This was the fabulous view that we looked out of from our apartment when we pulled back the shutters.
There are certain months of the year, that you are unable to swim in the sea - from about September to April for fear of being stung by box jelly fish. Lucky there did not seem to be any around.
We enjoyed lunch in a lot of outdoor cafes, this place had a guy playing the piano and singing, so it was a nice way to while away the afternoon.

    I remember a trip we took a few years back to Little Dix Bay. In August and jelly fish abounded. My daughter was stung the very first day! They hurt! You were lucky.

    But what a lovely spot just the same, Carolyn! I do love seeing your part of the world.

    Carolyn, your trip to Palm Cove sounds absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed all the beautiful pictures of your time there. The picture of the warning sign scared the bejeebies out of me though.     So ydilic holidays, dear Carolyn... nothing better than being at tropical beaches with warm waters to escape cold days.

    I have red the post about your holidays with your grandparents by the sea, such lovely memories from those days. Now we have to provide our grands with same great memories as well!!!

    Carolyn-This looks like Heaven! And look at you in a RED convertible :) The kids have been stung by jelly fish and we always keep a bottle of MSG in our beach bag for it. I have never heard of a box jelly fish though. Be careful and have fun!

    I was once stung on my left arm by a jellyfish. It stung me twice and here's what is weird: For years it would swell up from time to time.
