Cherries have to be my favourite fruit ~ I could sit down and eat this bowl and I probably will.
They have been exceptionally delicious this season.
I love my hat, from England that I bought in a sale, now all I need is to have somewhere nice to go out and wear it. Did I tell you, I really love hats.
Wouldn't you like one of these, I know I would right now.

The surf and sand, of Waiheke beach
What a great delight is .... a day of sunshine!
Sunny clear blue sky, without a cloud in it. We still have a drought here and have had to buy another tanker load of water. I do hope that we will get some rain soon.
The sounds of the Cicadas chattering away loudly and the joyful laughter, coming from the kids playing in the sea, and the waves rolling into the shore, is all you can hear.
Makes it all seem great, to be living here on the Island.
Many of you have so kindly sent good wishes and prayers for our friend Lisa.
We are all very worried for her, as she is still in a lot of pain in her head and neck, so all we can do is hope and pray for a good recovery for her.
Thanks again for your kind wishes and thoughts, I am so lucky to have so many beautiful friends.
Have a very happy weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, Your summer pictures make me want to go right away to the travel agency to buy plane tickets to a place where it is sunny and warm right now :-). I love the sound of cicades. Just some days ago I told hubby that I would like to hear them chattering.
ReplyDeleteYour hat is very pretty. I also have a thing for hats but I'm a jeans kind of girl and most hats don't go too well with such kind of an outfit.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Carolyn and enjoy the cherries!
Hugs,
Julia
Carolyn your images are making me so want Summer here. Especially the bowl of cherries. I love tghem too. Could eat them all day.

Hi Carolyn! It is so warm here right now that I have a headache every day. Today is even a little dusty. Yuck! I love the beach. My body doesn't like the sun anymore. And I can't take the heat. But the sound of the waves, walking by the ocean, the sounds of summer are all very soothing. Sending more well wishes and prayers to Lisa. Blessings, Tammy PS Cherries are a favorite around here too. Don't know if they are in season yet or not. Have a good wweekend

Hi Jodie,
Good to hear from you, and yes, life does seem to be busy for you and I.
Lisa does have a fairly stressful job, working for a magazine company, don't know why this has happened to her, but it must be so scary for her.
Hi Constance,
Thanks for your visit.
That sounds like a fun idea and may do that.
Many thanks Maryanne, for your visit and kind words.

And I got wild cherry, forest berry cheesecake, and green apple...omg...my mouth is totally watering right now......
Black cherries are delicious! I have a wonderful recipe for a gingerbread compote that uses spiced black cherries. But I like them plain and simple too.

Hoping for rain for you and sending best wishes for your friend Lisa.

I love hats too, and always wear them! Yours is amazingly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of Summer looking at your pics!;)
Take care,
Monicaxx
What a brilliant collection of shots. That ice cream is tip-top, though it left me wondering how long that poor model had to stand there with the mint ice cream so dangerously close.... or if it was even true ice cream. Either way I'm sure she consumed a bucket of it that evening.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for visiting me today, Monica, always great to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Summer will be just around the corner for you.
Hi Peter,
The icecream does look delicious and I am sure she would have been able to eat it after the shoot.
Hugs
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour post and pics are so encouraging today as we are still very cold with snow in parts of Texas. Just some drizzle here with the cold temps.
We are so ready for a change and warmer days ahead.
I adore your hat and love them too. I don't wear them as much as I'd like and should, but they serve well to decorate with too. I so enjoy to see them around.
Continued prayers for Lisa. I hope she is feeling better very soon.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments about my nana's crochet.
Hugs to you,
Celestina Marie
