Thinking of others
My heart goes out to the people of Samoa after scores dead and villages are flattened in the devastating tsunami triggered by an 8.0 earthquake.
Also the typhoon in the Philippines where I have a blog friend Charity, who is experiencing so much devastation around where she is. I am so glad that she is safe and wish her and family well. Let us not forget the Indonesian earthquake, where many other people are going through tragic times and have lost many lives too.
I am saddened by the tragedies, going on, the devastation is just terrible and the footage we have seen on the television and reports on the radio, makes you weep.
The Pacific ring of fire is an area, where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
We extend our sympathy to all the people that have been effected by these natural disasters, in what is normally a serene corner of the South Pacific.

it is so sad, they are left with nothing, we should all be thankful for what we have.
ReplyDeleteHi Stefanie,
ReplyDeleteIt is so terribly sad.
I heard of a NZ couple who lost their little 2 year old baby and can't believe the pain and anguish they must be going through.
We do need to be thankful for what we have.

We must all do all that we can.

Absolutely. Poor Charity has had an up close and personal view for sure. I live on that ring of fire as well, in the Pacific Northwest and it scares me that something like a large earthquake could happen here, we're due for one they tell us. You just can't escape Mother Nature and Mother Earth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Renee.
ReplyDeleteHi Sares,
We live on the ring of fire too, and earthquakes are such scary things.
They are always saying things like that here, that the big one will be coming.

ReplyDeleteAll the events around the world are so horrific, when so many have lost loved ones and their homes.
Hi DJ,
You really would not be able to know where to begin.
Just the thought of, how hard it would be not having the basics of life, like water and food.
Hi Diana,
It is so sad and scary for all the people affected by these events.
H Gail,
Many thanks for coming to visit me.
I enjoyed seeing the photos of your cute little Granddaughter, you must be such a proud Grandma.
