I adore this delicate colour, I think pale powder pink has to be one of my favourite colours.
These pretty pink flowers I was given last week, made me feel very happy.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month ~ celebrating 25 years of Awareness, education and empowerment.

Dear Carolyn, I am so sorry that I needed till now to give you an answer to your lovely comments! Thank you so much for your nice words!!! You told me that you also made a book for your parents with photos and poems and stories - I am sure, it is wonderful for your mum to "walk back into happier times" (my mother also loves it!)
ReplyDeleteToday I "ad to read thee new postings of you because I was so "lazy" - I love them all. It is to nice to see there is SPRING "on the other side of the world" ... (We are "waiting for the first snow" ;-) and you are waiting for young birds. I love this imagination!) Your blog is heartwarming - one side you write about the poor Tsunami-victims and cancer precaution, on th other side you always show us optimism and a nice smiling face! Thanks & warm "autumn"(!)-regards from "good old Europe", Traude
Hi Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI love this set of pink photos!
I am still too young for doing regular mammograms, but when I get older I will certainly do them.
I really wish we could cure all cancers. The problem is that people fighting cancers often catch nasty bugs while their immune system is down and there comes the trick : find the bug and eradicate it. But when the bug cannot be identified quickly, it becomes harder to win the battle. Important progress have been done in cancer research. The form of leukemia my poor brother is dealing with is nowadays cured pretty well. But his current main problem is a bug still non identified and we are all scared in my family. He is so poorly.
So we should all think about all these people currently fighting cancer because they are so vulnerable and so brave.
Hugs,
Sophie.
Hi Carolyn, thank you so much for your lovely wishes! Hope you're fine and are having a great weekend! xxx

Beautiful pale pink. Really love those ballet slippers, brings back some wonderful childhood memories. Cancer has touched my family in so many ways as I'm sure it's touched so, so many. It's stolen too much from us all. I pray for the end of that for everyone very soon.
