Thank you so much.

Country Living

Thank you so much to all my sweet friends, for your lovely thoughts and best wishes.
You will never know how much it means to me, to have such wonderful support from you all.

My dear old Dad passed away last night at 9.05 pm, with us all around the bedside.
It is a blessing that he can now rest in peace, as the pernicious cancer, had taken a hold of his poor body, after only about three months and he was happy to say goodbye.

Even though we are older now, you are never ready for this.
My Dad lived a good long life, and loved to tend to his wonderful vegetable garden, fruit and macadamia nut trees.
We are lucky to have happy memories of my Dad who was highly respected and loved.
My Mother is remarkable and is very strong and resilient, as I know that after 56 years together
they really had such a beautiful love for each other.
We will miss him very much.

Many thanks again
Hugs
Carolyn xo

Loving thoughts to you & your family at this very difficult time. What a wonderful life, so well lived, your darling Dad had. And he has left so much of his kind, caring & gentle ways with you his beloved daughter. I know you will be such a strong support for your Mum as all say your goodbyes.

I feel my dear Dad with me every day, in some many of the things I say & do. I was only 20 when he died, but his light is still as bright today as it was all those years ago.

I lost my dad just over two years ago at the young age of 64, one thing that offered me comfort and continues to, is knowing that he is the loving arms of God and that one day we will be together again. I hope in some way that this will too bring you comfort.

I'm sure your Dad was ready to move on as much for all of you as for himself.... it is a tough thing to go through for all concerned. It was '98 that I lost my Mom after a full year of flying back and forth to Victoria to be there for weeks at a time..... a very sad year. It seems like yesterday as I write those words...

My biggest fear has always been to lose my parents (they've both had operations and medical scares in the past... in fact, my dad has prostate problems as well, though thankfully not cancer).
