Johnny Depp

Public Enemies ~ with friends like this.
Candy or chocolate anyone?
A Pirate to sail the seven seas.
Anyone wanting a gardener to trim their topiaries.
Johnny Depp is one of my favourite actors.
Not only is he very good looking but he is a good actor too.
The thing I find most interesting about him is he can pull off any sort of role.
My husband often laughs and says that I could watch his movies with the sound turned down.

Looking forward to going to the cinema, to see this ~ Public Enemies.
Have you been to see his latest movie yet?
I wonder who your favourite actor is?

Have a great weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. Hi Carolyn,
You must have been posting while I was checking.
Oh I love JD too. I have been to see Public Enemies.
I won't comment too much except to say he plays Johnny Dillinger very well.
It's very well filmed - hope you enjoy it - will chat about it when you have been.

  3. Hi Suzi,

I am sure he plays Johnny Dillinger very well and look forward to going to see the movie.
I do not know if it will be the new Harry Potter or this one, but will need to see both of these.

    Glad that you enjoyed it.

    Hi Marsha,

Yes he has been a busy Man with the new Alice in Wonderland movie too.
I do not know what Netflix is.

  4. Hi Carolyn,
I'm with you, I could watch with the sound turned down too - especially Chocolat, but I love that entire movie (sets and actors). I haven't seen Public Enemies, it was here in our little town but I believe it's gone already. I'm anxious to hear how much you like the movie. I don't know if I have a favorite actor, but I still love Gérard Depardieu. I am an old movie lover and don't think they make them like they used to so I'll say William Holden amd Barbara Stanwyck still hold my heart among quite a few others. I am looking forward to seeing Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp when it comes out next year and love the fact that my husband is right at the front of the line with me to see any one of his films. Have you seen Coco Chanel with Audrey Tatou? Gee, maybe I should email you ;)

  5. Hi Tracie,

How lovely to hear from you and your comments are great.
My husband enjoys his films too which is good.
Yes, the Alice movie looks great and Tim Burton always comes up with something a little different.
Victoria, daughter went to see the Coco movie and loved it. I hope to go and see that too.

When we were over in Paris we went out to the Restaurant of Gerard Depardieu. It was after the wedding we had been to and met up with 12 NZ'ers
and had a fantastic evening and the food was great.
We did not see him though.

    Hugs

  7. Hi Carolyn!

You must be psychic! I posted that pic of pirate JD as my Man of the Week a few posts ago! Everyone commented on his pic - more than about my post!! (in which I had him kidnapping one of my blogpals!)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend,

    xxxLOL Lola:)

  8. Hi Carolyn,

Can I say I LOVE Johnny Depp too... that's kind of putting it mildly. I think he is one of the greatest character actors of our time... Not, to mention he is quite easy on the eyes!!! :-) A friend and I talk about him endlessly (her daughter works in LA at a production company that did one of his recent films (maybe Public Enemy -- can't remember), anyway, she told us he is a very nice person on top of all that... What's not to like). Haven't seen latest yet, but my favorite role to date is... hmmm... Jack Sparrow probably, very sexy somehow, and Edward Scissorhands after that...

Really looking forward to see Alice in Wonderland...

    thanks for sharing...

    blessings,
    Rosalind

  9. Hi Carolyn, I agree. Johnny is handsome and he is one of my favorite actors too! I haven't seen his new movie yet, but I plan too. I'm also looking forward to seeing him in "Alice in Wonderland" Have you seen him in photos for this role. He looks awesome! Love the costume. THanks for the post. Have a great day!

  10. I love Johnny Depp! It's hard for me to choose a favorite actor as I tend to like the old actors like Cary Grant and Clark Gable. For modern day actors I would have to say that Orlando Bloom and Pierce Bronson are my favorites:).

    Blessings,

    Kim

  12. Hi DJ,

I think we are all in agreement here!

    Hi Nora and Lola,

One of your blogpals being kidnapped by him, wow and I can see why he was your Man of the week.

    Hi Rosalind,

Of course you can say that...yes, he did make a pretty fine Pirate didn't he!

    Hi Carol,

I have seen the photos of JD in the new Alice in Wonderland movie and he does look great in the wonderful costume.

    Hi Kim,

Yes, Clark Gable and Cary Grant were great for the old time movies.I loved the way they spoke back then. Pierce and Orlando are great actors too.

    Hi Dolores,

I am going this afternoon so I will let you know how it is.
oh and I won't forget the popcorn.
I have a blog friend Suzie and she said it was great.

  14. Hi Carolyn,
Depp is definitely one of the most interesting and talented actors working today. Two of my favorite films of his are Don Juan DeMarco and Finding Neverland (not his biggest blockbuster hits, but interesting and moving).

    Hope your weekend goes well!

  20. Oh, Johnny Depp. He's one of my favorites, too. One weekend I watched all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. It was a good weekend. ;) I can't wait to Alice in Wonderland. I haven't seen Public Enemies, yet. I will have to go watch it soon. Let us know what you thought of it. We were able to go to Disneyland yesterday, and they have a Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and I enjoyed seeing models of Johnny Depp. :) I hope you're enjoying your weekend, Carolyn. xo.

    Hi Diane,

Harrison Ford is a great actor too - The Indianna Jones movies, keep you in suspense and always great.

Thank you so much Nancy for visiting and your kind words.

Oh no Renee, you can share the pictures too.

    Hi Jessica,

What fun - I am glad the family got to go the Disneyland and did you have your photo taken alongside the JD model?
I look forward to seeing the Alice movie too.
