Bastille Day

I just want to wish my French friends a fabulous Bastille Day.
Enjoy the celebrations, fireworks and have a fun time.

You have to love Laduree ~ our daughter brought back this wonderful box of macaroons for us.
Then there is champagne. You have to love visiting Paris for the shopping, restaurants and the exciting time that you have there.

In 2007, we had attended a wedding in England and so after that we made our way over to Paris.
It was the day after Bastille Day and you could see the remains of the Parade and celebrations. Along the Champs-Elysees there were rows and rows of tiered bench seats, that they were dismantling and a big clean up, was going on of the pavements and streets. There was still the buzz of excitment everywhere.

I hope that you are having a fabulous week.
Hugs
Carolyn

I heard this morning that there was a quake in New Zealand. Have no clue if it's near where you live but I immediately thought of you. Hope you and yours are fine.

  19. Hi Marsha,

thank you for thinking of us and no the earthquake was down the South Island. ( We are in the North Island.
As far as I have heard there have not been any fatalities which is great, as it was a big earthquake.

    Hi Renee,

    what flavour did you choose?
The different flavours and colours are amazing.

    Hi Jennifer,

I hope that you get there one day and pick up yourself some of the lavender soap.

  21. Hi Kim,

I hope that you will get to visit these places.
What I loved was everything was so old, the beautiful buildings, whereas over here most of our buildings are new and modern.
