100th post and a little Giveaway
Hi Everyone,
I am excited to say that I have made my 100th post and so now I am giving away these two little dough things if you are interested.
Mabel the sheep and The little Cottage that I have just finished making ~ have just given them the last coat of varnish.
I want to say thank you to all my wonderful friends that I have met here and for taking the time to visit and all your lovely comments.
Just leave a comment and tell me what fun things, you have been getting up to lately.
I have been out in the garden and doing some housework, things that needed doing.
I shall pick two winners, on the 16th April.
Have a great weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

Congrats on your 100th post! Your art is beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteThings have been very busy here this week mostly trying to recover from the antiques fair last weekend. I am hoping to get some projects done around the house as well as some much needed cleaning.
Have a blessed weekend,
Kim
hey Carolyn.....I don't want you to put my name in for the draw.... absolutely can't have any more cute little things around here...I must make a sweep soon and give some of my current goodies away...... it just gets to be more than one house can handle...

ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn, those are wonderful. I love Mabel - reminds me of hte photos my children took when they visited New Zealand. The cottage is just too cute for words. I wonder who lives there?
ReplyDeleteI have been busy mending and sewing and crocheting things for my daughter who goes back to California tomorrow.
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteLife is like that sometimes and we need to take time out.
I love the Antiques you have been showing.
Hi Vee,
Thank you ~ I know what you mean about needing a bigger house to keep all you things.
Thanks for your kind comments Marie
Antoinette, it is amazing how 100 posts comes around.
Hi Dolores,
At one time I think we had about 40 million sheep here in NZ, that number has come down now.
Thanks for your kind words and yes I wonder who would live in the cottage?
Hugs
Carolyn
Awww, Carolyn! These are so cute! And I love how you call them your little dough things. :D
ReplyDeleteMy fun things this week have been entertaining my parents who are visiting us in Tokyo. This is my mother's first time in Japan, so we've been showing them some sights and regaling them with stories of cultural differences.
Congratulations on 100!!! 100 posts of fun!
Hi Carolyn. Your little giveaways are so cute, they would look lovely on my wall! However I am so far away, perhaps too far away for your giveaway, is it open only to people in your hemisphere?
ReplyDeleteIf not, please add my name to the list. ANd here is what I have been getting up to lately. My brother's birthday is today, however, we are having a family celebration tomorrow. I am hosting the shindig so I have spent the day making preparations and trying to stay warm. It is very cold and extremely windy in Toronto today. Here is what I'm going to serve: Vegetable lasagne, honey-garlic beef ribs, mushroom rice and salad. These are among my brother's favourites.
It's been a fairly quiet day especially compared to yesterday. My daughter had three girlfriends spend the night and the decibel level of four teenage girls in our house is enough to cause hearing damage. Alot of joyous laughing and screaming and carrying on...
All the best for your giveaway and I hope Canada can be on the list...
Oh, and of course, a big congratulatory hug for your 100th post. Your blog overflows with charm and lovely appeal. Glad I found you and thank you for your kind comments on mine.
ReplyDeleteHi Bella,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments.
You will enjoy having your parents out staying with you.
What an amazing place to show them around, the food, sights and the cultural differences.
My nephew and his wife are living over there, teaching and are really loving it.
Hi Lavinia,
No too far away Lavinia and whoever wins, I would be happy to post it anywhere, even Canada.
You are having a busy weekend and I hope that you have a wonderful birthday, for your brother.
The food will be great.
Glad that you were able to get through the sleepover! they can be very noisy events with very little sleep.
Many thanks for your sweet words and calling by.
Have a great rest of the weekend

Congratulations on your 100th post! Good for you, friend! It's so nice to be able to come on over and celebrate it with you! Both of those giveaway items are super darling! I am especially partial to the sheep, no, the cottage, no, the sheep! LOL! Oh, they're both fab!
ReplyDeleteI've been hanging a hummingbird feeder and getting my yard ready for my fine feathered friends! Come and see! :)
Thank you TattingChic ~ we got to 100 about the same time.
ReplyDeleteI will add your name to my list.
Just off to see your hummingbird feeder ~ they are amazing birds and we do not have them here in NZ.
I saw on someone elses blog they had a nest at their place and it was wonderful.
Enjoy your week

A sheep is the perfect thing to make since you are from New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteIt truly indeed is a small world. My daughter was also an exchange student to New Zealand. :)
Thank you for your kind words Monica.
ReplyDeleteWell done for doing your chair makeovers and would love to see the new look, when you finish them.
Thanks for visiting Laura.
Yes, it is a small world out there.
Our daughter was an exchange student to the UK last year.

Congrats to you! I envy that you are able to be out gardening-this is where I enjoy my time but we still have snow on the ground here so gardening will have to wait.

Thank you Rosemary, always lovely to have you visit.
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine,
Sorry you still have snow on the ground and I hope that the weather will soon warm up for you.
Today I planted 10 lavenders and I am waiting for some rain to water them. I had to make do with water from the watering can.

Congratulations Carolyn. 100 posts!@!! and they'll all so pretty and interesting. What have I been doing... well if I said sewing that sounds boring.. I'M ALWAYS SEWING!! haha but I have been dating... well sortof. And that has been real fun for 3 weeks but now Andy's flown back to the UK. It was nice though to enjoy a male's company for the first time in years!

The colour of Mabel is actually white but for some reason the wool looks pinkish. I tried to take so many photos inside and outside, but she did not want to co-operate.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love the sheep with the black faces and legs.
Hi Carolyn
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely little dough things!!!
Hello Carolyn, Congratulations on your 100th Post. It does go by quickly!
ReplyDeleteWould you believe it is snowing in my little part of the world today? So I can't say I have started working on my garden yet, but I am working on decorating the house for Easter. One step at a time, LOL.
Happy Blogging ~ Karen
Thank you so much Pat.
ReplyDeleteKaren that is amazing that you still have snow. Spring must be coming soon.
I hope that you have a happy Easter and have fun decorating ~
Happy blogging
Carolyn
Warmest congratulations to you Carolyn! A wonderful milestone to celebrate. I've had fun recently looking at a great 'How to speak New Zillund' list. I particularly loved 'C is for Cuds (Children)'!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^ (hope we're still friends!!)
Oh of course we are friends Millie.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny when you are overseas you can always pick a NZ 'er or an Australian accent.
It is so funny hearing Queenslanders say certain words.
I hope that your renovations are going well.
Hugs
Carolyn
By the way Millie, I do not say Cuds for kids, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThere are some though that do depending what part of NZ you are from.
We can have a laugh, how you Aussies say fish and chips and six sticks.
I suppose at least we can differentiate NZ'ers from Australians.
Hugs
Carolyn
Thank you for visiting Vicky~ it really does come around quickly, the 100th post. I like your quote.
ReplyDeleteI will put your name in the hat.
Happy Easter
