What I have been doing in my weekend.

I would like to show you what I have been tinkering around with this weekend.
I bought this suitcase, half price in a sale and cut out some copies of French vintage labels, glued them on and then gave it a coating of shellac.
It is lined in a beautiful blue fabric.
Now I can store all my fabrics in it, as the cardboad filing box I had been using, had got too small.

Quote of the day.

It's so hard if I have to
and so easy if I want to.
Annie Gottlier.

Have a happy weekend
Hugs
Carolyn

  1. very nice Carolyn, there is something about old suitcases who knows where they have been ? what has been packed in there in it's past travels?
I would store my precious materials in there as well.

    Have a great weekend

  4. Oh, Carolyn! What a fabulous idea! I love the look of vintage suitcases. Why, oh why don't they make travel labels anymore. Surely someone can invent one that sticks to fabric rollerbags. Seeing something like this and knowing it's got precious craft materials inside would send me over the moon!

  9. Hi Bella,

Vintage suitcases with labels were neat as you could see which romantic and exotic places, people travelled to.

Rosemary and Nancy, I love crowns also. Maybe we can dream of being a Princess for a day!

Thanks for visiting, Vee and The Victoria Parlor,
