It has been three years today, since our dear old Giant Schnauzer Heidi passed away.
I still miss her so much, the walks every day, the unconditional love and how happy the gentle giant would be when we came home, after having been out.
She really did bring so much joy to our family over the years and how much our kids and we gained by growing up/older, with our beloved Heidi.
Losing a pet is such a hard thing to deal with.
Dorota of
jewellerybijou.com gave me the One lovely blog Award, many thanks for this.
Now I would like to pass the Award on to the following blogs that I enjoy visiting.
I know some of you are Award free, but just to say thank you for all you share.

Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all a big all around hug for Heidi... Loosing a pet is really tough and one never forgets. I hope and pray that there will be some place for our beloved pets where we will meet with them again. That would mean heaven to me!
Congratulations on winning this blog award as your blog is surely lovely. You give so much from yourself and your inner-warmth. Always great for stopping by and reading your very captivating stories. You put so much in it... such a joy for reading them.

Oh dearest friend!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I cannot bear the loss of a pet. They are so innocent, so KIND, so humorous beyond they could EVER KNOW....the joy they give us is like a fairytale...they love you no matter what and they are always ready for play. WHAT A PRETTY GIRL SHE WAS! AND I love that picture of you with her!!! I have never seen a giant Schnauzer!!! Pretty, pretty....
Sweet friend, THANK YOU for coming to wish me well! THE CHIROPRACTOR did a miracle on me! He cracked my back...WOW. Then he prescribed some exercises that I have been doing faithfully and will continue to do to reshape the distorted form of one of the encasements of my disk....he showed me how they are flexible and one of mine is bulging but not in a way that cannot be RESHAPED with exercise. I ALREADY FEEL 100% BETTER! Cold packs and two more visits with him for electric treatment and maybe another JOLT will help him see how I am doing. But NO MORE PAIN!!!
Thank you for asking! Have a splendid day...do you have another dog? It would be hard to REPLACE a friend....Anita
Oh Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteAs I type this I am listening to the talk of my little doggie. You must miss her very much. I couldnt imagine. I'm sure you have wonderful memories and I will be sending my love to you today.

Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that you have your mom's typewriter!! We have looked all over for one
and we were so happy to find it. I called up north from here in New Orleans and I'm so lucky that the fellow that had it saved it for me!!

Heidi was a beautiful pet. So pretty.
Congrats on your Award!!! You do have a lovely Blog.
I am thrilled you are presenting me with this Award!
Thank you!
God bless,

I must agree with you - losing a pet is very difficult (I have two cats myself, and they're both young, but one got very very sick a few months ago). New studies show that it is as difficult as losing a human, I've heard.
ReplyDeleteAnd its so wonderful that you are memorializing your Heidi by remembering the good times :)
Good morning precious friend!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for stopping by; yes, my back is SO MUCH better and those exercises the doctor gave me really are great. I hope he will say that I can keep them in my routine AND I see him again today. I wonder if he will see it necessary to CRACK my back again? I wasn't expecting it before but now that I know it might be coming, I think I will be a bit tense!!!!
HAVE A LOVELY DAY! Anita
Oh you precious soul you!!! THANK YOU! Now off to bed my dearest; I am off to get ready to go see the doctor again but YES! I FEEL 100% BETTER!!!!!! MERCI MILLE FOIS for your well wishes!! I will keep you posted! Anita
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Heidi. I can only imagine how much you miss her. I only had smaller pets as a child (none of them mammals) and I always feared getting a dog would mean a lot of heartbreak when I eventually ended up outliving him/her.
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn, Heidi was beautiful! I know exactly how you feel. My first dog was Toni who we got when I was 2. We had to put her to sleep when I was 17. I have her picture framed in my bedroom and til this day, I still think about her. She was such a big part of my life. Have a fabulous Friday! Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteLook at that sweet face...Losing a pet is always very difficult. They become such a big part of our lives, they're family. I know she will always be in your memories and in your heart.
