Where have all the flowers gone?
Have always loved the sweet old fashioned, favourite flowers like violets, cornflowers, viola, nasturtium and marigolds to name a few and they are not only pretty to look at, they are also great for culinary use. Just make sure they have not come into contact with spray or herbicides.
Have read that edible flowers were especially popular back in the Victorian era.
A scattering of flowers over a dish or mixed in with a green salad is a good way to add some interest and colour to a meal.
When at last I took the time to look into the heart of a flower, it opened up a whole new world; a world where every country walk would be an adventure, where every garden would become an enchanted one

We had a lovely Easter weekend and spent a wonderful time with our DD home. Lots of long walks out in the glorious sunshine, delectable food, {Victoria cooked a delicious dinner one evening} and hot cross buns from the oven and not to forget the chocolate.
Just as well Easter comes around only once a year.
Thank you for your kind notes you left me - I am feeling well now after a touch of the flu. Also appreciate the new followers to my blog, merci beaucoup.
It is almost the weekend! time to kick off your shoes and relax now
I hope that you enjoy the weekend
hugs
Carolyn
