Medications from the past.

This was sent to me the other day and I am glad that our modern Pharmaceutical companies have come a long way, with remedies for good health, from this. ... and we worried about giving our childern asprin!

A bottle of Bayers heroin.
Between 1890 and 1910 was sold as non-addictive substitutefor morphine. It was also used to treat children with a strong cough.

Cocaine toothache drops.
Very popular for children in 1885. Not only they relieved the pain, they made the children happy!

A paperweight promoting C.F. Boehringet & Soehene (Germany)
They were proud of being the biggest producers in the world of products containing Quinine and cocaine.

Stickney
I'm sure this would make the little ones sleep well ( not only opium but 46% alcohol.)
5 days old - 5 drops? ( goodness me!)

Enjoy your week
Hugs
