Henny Penny

So here we are again ... it is the weekend!

Out walking today I saw these cute chickens walking down the driveway looking for their breakfast.
They were very friendly and even started following me and I was glad to see them eventually turn back and head for home.

When arguing with a chicken, a grain of corn is always wrong
~ African proverb.

Made me think of the times when I was a little girl and used to love the tale of ... Henny Penny

One day Henny Penny was picking corn in the cornyard when whack! something hit her upon the head. Goodness gracious me! said Henny Penny the sky's a going to fall.
I must go and tell the King. So she went till she met Cocky-Locky and the Ducky Daddles, Goosey Posey and so on.
It depends on who tells the story - in most, the chicken gets eaten by Foxy Loxy because he incited them to hysteria. The moral here would be don't follow blindly or don't believe everything you hear.

The nicer version involves the animals getting saved and that moral would always believe in yourself, even if others don't.

Just want to thank all my dear friends for visiting and to new followers,  I am grateful for your friendship.
Here's to a wonderful weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
