Out and about in the village

First of all, thank you for all the kind Anniversary wishes, I feel so very lucky to have such lovely friends who dropped me a note, in your busy lives.

I had to run some errands yesterday so took my camera with me to take some photos of a few things to show you.
Over summer the village becomes an art exhibition when local sculptors showcase their artwork in the public spaces. It is always fun to see what they do.
The lovely lady was made of the branches pruned from the grapevines,  from one of the local vineyards.
Selfie taking penguin family - cute

Time for a cuppa at the Mad Hatters Tea Party - this is on the roof of the local Four Square Supermarket

The summer weather has finally arrived and I had my first swim for the season in the sea. Even though the water was a little cold getting in, once you started swimming around soon warmed up.
Looking out over the peaceful waters of Oneroa Bay ~ nothing like spending some time at the seaside

Also had to go to the dentist on Tuesday, to have a crown - and afterwards went to a little cafe for a coffee and with having an injection, my mouth was all numb on one side and made it so hard to sip the hot drink.
Felt like a small kid and was dribbling and was glad when the injection wore off. That is a little from my week and now I will go and spend some time pulling out a few weeds and make the most of the sunny day

Hope you are having a wonderful week
hugs
Carolyn

  4. Some people are so original - who would have thought of sculpting a Penguin family taking a 'selfie'.
I never have an injection at the dentists - I would rather grin and bare it, but my dentist is very gentle.

  5. A lovely week you had, dear Carolyn, apart from the crown, I should say, -but good to have one, when needed :-) Such beautiful weather you have. Nothing special happened here, this week, -apart creating a little, walking to town, windows looking and finding a few treasures for my work room , lol. Have a good rest of the week, dear friend.

  16. How interesting to see the art exhibits. I love the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, that's so cute. And the lady made from grapevines is so creative, and the red flowers are pretty in the background.

Carolyn, I had the same experience you had with the crown and coffee recently hehehehe.

Have a restful weekend, my lovely friend.
