Goodbye August

This past week has been super busy since coming back from the holiday, so hence not a lot of blogging going on.
As we say goodbye to the last day of August, I will recollect some of the happy moments with photos.
Shopping at Newmarket is beautiful at this time of the year with the pretty pink magnolia trees dotted along the footpath. The flowers looked like pink velvet
The plumage of the Parakeet sitting in the tree outside my kitchen window was pretty.  Can you see the colourful red, green and yellow?

Loved the chairs at the Victoria Park bus stop - waiting for the bus here would be fun

My dear daughter made a video of our holiday in Port Douglas, if you have a spare moment and want to see a little more of this beautiful place, here is the link. You can see some of the noisy bird life that I was telling you about
Thank you for the kind notes you left me from the previous post, appreciate each and every one and I look forward to coming to say hello to you all.

Have a beautiful day my friends
hugs
Carolyn

  1. Dear Carolyn,
It's hard to believe that we are at the end of August. We are beginning to notice that the days are getting a little shorter. They must be getting longer for you.
Busy days only seem to get busier!.........*s*

  6. Always nice to get away and it sounds like you had a lovely time. My 5 weeks on the road and in the sky got to be a little much, but I had to settle my son in at college and now I'm back home an empty nester. Bittersweet times indeed. I no longer have kids to drive to school. Happy September!

  7. Your Pigeons are better looking than ours in England. We do have parakeets here now, they are a lovely green, they certainly brighten the bird table.

  10. Carolyn, Blessings to you this fine day! Chairs like this at the stop would be a delight to sit in and wait for transportation.

Not everyday do you see a sight like this. I did see the colorful bird outside your window! This would have been a awesome sight to see.

As the season draws to a close a new one is beginning to take place. I will be ready for cooler temps here as your temps warm up.
