Soaking up the scene
Today I will show you around, a little more of what we saw exploring Saint Tropez.
It was a fun place to do nothing but relax, dipping our toes in the sand and taking a picnic lunch to the beach for the day out, with sunglasses, sunblock and a good book. What could be better!
Then to return home to this apartment we rented through airbnb.
We found this a great service to use and it was a comfortable place to call home for a week. What we really enjoyed was to sit out on the little deck and have our breakfast and dinner most days and watch the world go by. Another convenient feature of an apartment is the washing machine to be able to do laundry.
We drove out to the gorgeous sandy white beach of the Baie de Pampelonne, where we swam everyday in the sparkling azure Mediterranean sea.
Brigitte Bardot made this place famous when she frolicked on the beach here, back in the 50's. To this day they must be very proud of her as there were many paintings about on walls and in galleries
This really is the playground of the wealthy, with million dollar houses, super yachts and luxury boats berthed at the marina, you had to see to believe.
Happy weekend dear friends
hugs
Carolyn

Aaaah, wonderful photos of St. Tropez, dearest Carolyn! I've never been there, I just was in Nice and Cannes (in 1981... So you see, it's lots of years ago ...) I've got holiday-feelings now! (SIGH!) And OMG, what a yacht!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments to the palm oil topic! So glad to hear that Cadbury stopped using Palm oil in its dairy milk chocolate! That gives me hope!!!
Lots of hugs my dear!

ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun, a beautiful place with a lot of history. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThe perfect holiday location to head to in July/August to escape our winter.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were in the Med we looked at apartments for sale - just a pipe dream and not the best use of our dollar!
With our family heading home, it's better to rent an apartment as you did. I followed your link, it was perfect with all the amenities one needs on holiday and well priced too.
You can take me back to St Tropez with your lovely photos any time Carolyn!
Nice rain for our gardens today - I'm off to the garden centre to fill my pots. I called into both Palmers and Kings on Friday to find neither of them had Primulas or the pansies I wanted. Very disappointing!
Enjoy your long weekend!
