Hello dear friends,
I can't believe that it is May already - how did this come around so quickly?
Here are just a few little moments that have made me happy over the past week ~ love drying hydrangeas and seeing what colour they turn out
the joy of having my 10.00 am cup of coffee
I bought the tin holder to store our olive oil in the pantry
The olives are ripe on our trees and ready to be harvested and we will be doing this next week. The hungry birds have been feasting on them, so hope they leave some for us.
I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself
~Maya Angelou
Hope you have a happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn
How lovely to have your own olive oil - the oil container is lovely - if ever you go to Paris you must check out 22 Rue de Murillo!
ReplyDeleteLike you - I can't believe the fifth month (May) has arrived, where did the others of 2015 go to?
ReplyDeleteYes, we have all been busy.
Love your 10.00am coffee - I'm just off to have one too, although it's near to 11.00am as I type this.
Have a good weekend - 'til next time
All the best Jan
May we be blessed with only the very best this month and always.

So lovely with your dried hydrangeas in the clay bottle, I love them dried, too dear Carolyn, -and the tin holder is a wonderful find, the brown bottles looks beautiful inside. I hope, with you, that you will have a great harvest of your olives, with wonderful oil to save !!

:-)
The dried blue hydrangeas arranged in the old stoneware pot look beautiful and the tin holder is just the right colour for your bottles of olive oil. There's nothing better than your own produced olive oil and I hope you get a good yield this year. The coffee looks delicious. It's good to take a break and enjoy mid morning. Happy May to you!
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn!!! Thank you for your visit and for becoming a follower to my blog.
ReplyDeleteI just joined yours and I like it so much!!! I am so pleased to have a member from New Zealand! You reminded me of my first pen friend when I was a teenager...she was also from New Zealand. I am now going to read some more of your older posts and enjoy your lovely bears!
Have a happy May month!!!
Oh, I love the 'home' quote by Maya Angelou. She's one of my favorites. wow, how wonderful that you make your own olive oil from the olives that are harvested. I love my morning coffee too, Carolyn, only I have mine around 7:00 am.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week, my dear friend.

Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and some fun additions.
Wow, indeed where goes the time... Can't believe we are already on May the 6th. I've been racing the past couple of weeks. Getting ready for so many things. Pieter's birthday on Wednesday, on Thursday we went to Atlanta for King's Birthday reception with the Dutch Consul, staying in hotel one night. Back the other day and again next day back to the airport to pick up a dear friend who's staying with us... On a roller coaster!
Hugs,
Mariette
Happy May, Carolyn! Can hardly believe it.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to have your own olive trees....hope you're going to post some photos of the harvest.
Nothing prettier than dried hydrangeas! But then, I love them on the bush too...such a lovely flower, and dries prettier than most.
Happy week my friend!
i also love hydrangeas, dear Carolyn.

ReplyDeleteAhhh, it's the simple pleasures in life that make the day so enjoyable. I love the foam on that cuppa coffee! Have a blissful Mother's Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas. We bring our olive oil from Jerusalem. When I go to the States and have to buy from the grocery store, I'm always disappointed. There's nothing like fresh pressed olives. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you to come over and meet Finn. Thank you for your kind words.
