A little touch of pink

One morning last week I went to have my mammogram after getting the appointment that I was due for one.  I know how important it is to keep the date and get myself down to the clinic for a check up.
Don't enjoy the squishing of the breast and would be great if someone could come up with another way of testing, by another method

With the showers of rain we had lately, my Souvenir de Malmaison rose is blooming yet again and I was excited to see the pretty pink rose appear.

A rose is a rose is a rose

~ Gertrude Stein

Time brings Roses
~Portuguese proverb

Nothing like a little pink rose to lift your spirits.

Have a great week dear friends and thanks for stopping by.
Hope you are well and I look forward to catching up with you soon.

hugs
Carolyn

  6. Such pretty pink roses. I've just planted two new climbing roses on our new/replacement arbour Looking forward to seeing them bloom, probably the end of May . I do love roses but have never been very successful where I now live. I think it must be the soil. I too am due for a visit to be squashed, I hope you had an all clear result.

  13. Carolyn, your pink roses are so pretty. I especially love that soft pink color. The ones I planted are a bit too pink, and would prefer something softer (but what you plant and what you get are sometimes very different). Do you know that the pink rose is my second favorite after the red rose? I think your pink rose is one of the prettiest I've seen yet. :~)

    love, ~Sheri

  21. Dearest Carolyn,
I can well understand that mammography is unpleasant for you too! I was traumatized by my first check (20 years ago) and didn't go to mammography for years. Instead, I made a breast sonography. Some doctors believe that is not accurate enough, some think that is more accurate than mammography. Two months ago I gave the mammogram a new chance and then had a month hard pain in both breasts. Therefore: Only Sonography - my body does not like squeezing and I listen to my body!
I love your pink touches, my dear!
    Lots of hugs, Traude

  22. Dear Carolyn
It is an anxious time I know and not the most pleasant experience.
I hope you spoiled yourself by visiting a nice cafe afterwards, and having a treat....
Your Souvenir de Malmaison is stunning, those Autumn blooms are the most precious - will you dry it?

    Much love

  24. Yes having a mammogram is not the most comfortable of things but necessary and one is wise to keep an appointment.

I just love the pink blooms, and pink is my favourite colour.

    Take Care

    All the best Jan

  25. I've never looked in to it so could be wrong but I reckon a man designed those mammography machines.

  26. ..oh Carolyn.. that is no fun and I too wish there was another way to do this routine screening. I have an appointment next week and I'm not looking forward to it. I always feel so invaded when I leave and my poor breasts feel like flat pancakes;( Pink always lifts my spirits. Hope you are enjoying a new day.
