Mollies
The other night we had the opportunity to stay at the beautiful Mollies Boutique Hotel.
We were over in the City attending a Soiree and as the 197 Hotels were all fully booked out for the night was a good time to go and spend the night staying here.
Over the past few weeks, many people have gravitated to Auckland City, ... the World Cup Cricket games, Volvo Round the World Ocean race and Chinese New Year to name a few events.
Mollies is a place I have always wanted to visit and we found it to be a perfect retreat for a getaway. I loved the pretty gardens, topiary trees and how the grand old place had been lovingly restored
Our Suite was beautifully appointed over two floors and was very comfortable. A little deck where you were able to sit out and relax at the outdoor table and chairs and admire the lovely view, looking over towards the Auckland Harbour bridge and at night see the twinkling lights all around.
Blending Victorian charm with beautiful antique and bespoke furnishings made this a romantic place.
There are some places you visit and enjoy them so much and you leave wishing to return again someday.
Do hope you have a wonderful week
hugs
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteAlways wonderful to remember such places with a person you love ...
Happy week my Dear!
Hello Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteMollies looks to be absolutely our kind of place to stay. It sounds as if they have been careful to blend the old with the new, getting the best from both. The details you show here look to be absolutely charming and the view of the harbour from your room is truly delightful. We are sure that you must already be planning your return!
Best places are those where when leaving we are already looking forward to return and enjoy again.
ReplyDeleteIt seems a lovely place in an amazing land.
You're blessed for living in a very beautiful place full of architecture and art details - makes Life Prettier.
Blessings,
Teresa

Hello Carolyn, we hope to get to New Zealand one of these days and Mollies will definitely be on our list of places to stay – it looks gorgeous. Glad you had such a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteWe were considering a trip to Australia and New Zealand this Christmas but our son, and his family (who live in Australia) have decided to make the trip to us instead. Their flights are already booked so now all we have to do is to wait until the 6th of December to see them. It will be two years since we were last together, so great excitement as you can imagine. Hugs Barbara
How very beautiful, a place, my dear Carolyn. The yard with the bricks laid in circles, and the topiaries is a wonderful place to rest ones eyes , and the whole hotel a beautiful building . I could envy you such a stay, it must have been fantastic.

Dearest Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did find a lovely boutique hotel with so many extras that it makes you want to linger on or as you mention already, come back another time.
Special events and that is good for Auckland's tourism of course but hard on the locals for booking a place as well.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
